The Beer Scout Knife

I learned a valuable lesson. Never mark a box "Fragile"; mark them ORM-D instead....

I'm sorry about that Mike. Yep, a "fragile" designation is almost like the "wet paint" sign.
Thanks for going out on a limb with those glasses. I know that we all appreciate the effort you put into the Beer Glass Club special, but now it's back to knives and a near 100% survival rate though the postal system.
Btw...splain orm-d???

I agree, the bails aren't coming off of mine either. I have plenty of other knives that don't have bails and before these came, the only ones I owned were on older knives.

Hey I know I get a little gimmicky myself sometimes with these picks but heck,,,,Ya'll go on and have great weekend!!!

Here's to ya!

Perry, Did you carve the little figure that's sitting on the pencil?

No Jake, I didn't. Little plastic guy my wife got for me, somewhere on her adventures.
Hey crufflers, I know what you mean, can't stop messin with mine either!

I can't take any better pics than the ones already posted here, but my tortoise acrylic arrived today and I've been over the moon with it. And to think I have the gaboon ebony on order!

Loving the tortoise acrylic beer scout. What a great knife! As a chef and beer lover who works alongside many breweries, I haven't been this enamored with a slippy in sometime. I'm anxiously awaiting the gabon ebony I ordered as well.

So I'm sitting here at my computer about to lift the cap on beer 6 of 6 thinking to myself... Is GEC ever planning to do the soda scout with a Pepsi or Coca Cola acrylic? How cool would that be? GEC could take my money now!

I'm fairly certain a Coca Cola acrylic has been discussed here before but with the 4th in hindsight now it would have been great to lift a few caps with the Pepsi.

I dunno... maybe the Pepsi sounds better on paper and it's the beer talking, unless of course they added an opaque cream color to the red and blue instead of translucent, but a Coca Cola would for sure be fantastic in red and a rootbeer brown! I'd still be in on both! :D

I haven't been as active here as I'd like to be... Is there something like this in the cards? If yes, I hope I'm not too late. If not, GEC needs to get on this one for sure.

Could someone post a photo of a beer scout next to a TC barlow? I'm still waiting for my 1st of 3 beer/soda scouts to arrive and I am new to the 15 pattern. Thank you.

Your wish is my command! Hey Greg, I hear ya! Luck is my middle name when it comes to pictures.

I doubt this would ever happen due to license fees and the like. I feel your passion because I am serious Coca Cola collector myself! I have a collection spanning from turn of the last century to the 1960s. From menu boards to calendars, porcelain and enamel signs to key chains and the larger cardboard signs of the 1940s. Would be cool to see one though!

The Sunbrite arrived a few days ago, but it's been busy. These BS slippies are going to be fun, I already have a soda cooling for later today. Here is a local brew I will enjoy shortly with lunch.

I'm merging this with the existing Beer Scout thread. Seems like a good place have this discussion.

Good call, Gary!

No Jake, it won't! Pics are one thing, knives are another.:p
