The Beer Scout Knife

My glasses arrived today! My Beer Scout hasn't left my pocket since I got it in the mail last week. I am just loving this sawcut bone, and the shield is awesome!!

I got to sit down and enjoy a beer with Joanna (my wife) in our fancy new glasses!

Also, I discovered another aspect of the bail that I love. It makes it extremely convenient to pull out of a leather slip!

This knife is a real trip for me. Seeing it in person kind of solidifies my influence on this community in the short amount of time I have been involved here. It's a little mind blowing! Also, I think this might be the most fun knife GEC has produced to date! I can just feel the "fun" vibe emanating from the knife and beer glasses. I bet they had a blast designing and putting this one together!!

A really unique piece from this amazing cutlery, and a jovial mindset that I hope too see them continue on occasion with their work. Although a few people do not like the direction this knife leads the company, I think it is so important to have fun with your work, and I feel like this is a perfect example of that. Besides, innovation is the key to success.

Today's world is far different from what it was 100 years ago, I think GEC has recognized that while at the same time maintained the traditional spirit that we all know and love. I say BRAVO!! My hat is off to ya, yet again...not_worthy.gifclapping.gif

I have to agree with Evan. Fun Knives they are. Willy, I love that beer mug bead on your Beer Scout. It goes so well with the Saw cut handles.
Here is some more fun for ya.

I am hoping to pick up a few more.

The chestnut bone really looks great in person. The overall lines and look of the knife is better than I expected it to be. The bail is not my favorite feature, but I can live with it. The bare butt really makes the #15 patter, imo. I also have the gabon ebony and sawcut red bone on the way, so looking forward to that one as well. The only one I wish I'd gotten is the sunbrite acrylic. It looks great in the pictures here.

Took a while for the Post Office to figure out its way to my house but the Ivory and Chestnut arrived today:thumbup:

Thank you Mike, the extra you threw in was not necessary:o I really like these and have an ebony inbound as well. These will not all end up with me as I have three blood brothers and endless knife brothers and sisters to gift them to...I will keep at least one:cool::thumbup:

very nice collection!

Well said Evan!

I'm not a beer drinker, but the fun factor of these knives is just out of this world. The glasses are really nice too, and my kids love drinking their milk & juice from them. Laughs all around the dinner table! I hope GEC keeps the lighthearted humor going, and I can't wait to see what crazy theme comes out next!

I had the pleasure of handling my father-in-law's sawcut Beer Scout Knife today. Very nice!!! Excellent fit and finish, and the bone was absolutely gorgeous. It's gonna be a long few days, waiting for my ebony to arrive.
