The Beer Scout Knife

It's kinda funny. When the Scouts first came out there was a thread about how dumb it was to put "Scout" on a knife. They weren't all too popular back then either, if I recall correctly.

Whatever they call it, if it's a hit, the name will become a hit too, over time.

I'm not sure if discovering this knife and the ability to reserve a knife is a good or bad thing for me.

Luckily I put a Maybe down for the Beer Scout. I just saw the Soda Scout (did this just become available)?
The only thing I was iffy on was the "beer" in Beer Scout as I don't typically drink beer. When I saw the option open up for just "Scout" and then saw it came in Micarta I just about fell off my chair!

Does anyone have a picture of GEC "Blood Red Saw Cut Bone"? Sounds awesome if it's anything like the color on my my dark red jigged bone EO #15...

From Mr. Latham's last wonderful SFO Northfield 77 run in red sawcut bone from his own site.

SInce I'm a big fan of beautiful woods, I'm going with Brazilian Bloodwood (brosimum rubescens) covers and smooth bow-tie shield (with no printing) on this model. Should be very pretty, as the wood is a relative of Satine and Snakewood.

Sorry for my ignorance again, but is this Brazilian Bloodwood an SFO you are doing, Barry?

OK, now I'm on the hook for two. If Derrick orders some camel bone varieties my wallet will be sore.

Phew! Must have just made it for a Soda Scout. I don't know why, but AT&T has been having internet (& UVerse) connection issues here for weeks now; it hit again as I was trying to sign up for this new SFO Soda Scout. I'll pack lunch more often......

The Soda Scout shouldn't have any PC issues here at all and will share pocket time with my other caplifter/screwdrives. :)
