The Beer Scout Knife

Micarta and bloodwood on the way now, :D

Don't be sure to draw a conclusion and report your results until you're sure of your experimentation Brumby53 :D :D

That bloodwood looks mighty nice, many of you should have them tomorrow and we need pictures!!

That lanyard is awesome! What's the name of that pattern? I'd like to make a couple myself.

I bought a few different types of beers for Friday. I want to see which beers taste better and which taste the same after opening them with my Micarta that is due in.

So with that in mind, Please forgive me if any posts on Friday night and Saturday day seem rather incoherent. ;)

Sorry if this has been brought up already...

With regards to the bails, on my chestnut, the bail has some friction to the movement, which I like, since it doesn't flop around freely. On the tortoise shell I just got, the bail moves as free as can be.

How are yours??? How are they supposed to be?

So far, I have the Sunbrite and the ebony:

The first, stiffer one felt better so I left it like that; but the second was floppy so I removed it.

::looks at sentence::

We're still talking about bails, right?

I had a beehive throw a swarm yesterday which sent me on an impromptu hike... i inly had a canned beverage, but the BSK still looks pretty!

Went with the cocobolo today... I have a bloodwood and micarta on the way. I am giddy about the micarta. :D:p:D

Best pic of my Beer Scout yet. I'm really liking this sawcut and can't wait until my micarta arrives.

Beautiful shot! Really shows off the knife with lichen & tree stumps. Interesting that you keep bees, always respected that and wish I could take it up. Could be nice to cut some comb with that knife:D:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks, Will

I broke down and ordered yet another one......................................I think I have a sickness. Bloodwood inbound.

Mighty fine Beer Scouts that you're all showing. I told myself that I wouldn't go and buy one of each this time around, so I only picked up a Brazilian Bloodwood...and with the money I saved, I picked up an Alox Pioneer....hey, that's a caplifter too :D

Anyone receive a micarta yet? I wonder how the finish on the slabs is going to be. The last natural micarta one I had was a little "rough" and not so smooth.
