And the beautiful ebony

Bad news is I had to pass on two knives I want. Good news is I have a coco bolo'd Beer Scout! That wood is really, really nice and just the thing for a cold beverage in a glass bottle with a crown cap! Here:

There's a few things we do right, here in San Diego...

Sun, warm weather, beaches, and Craft Beer.

I like my beer like I like my Gunscout, the darker the better.

This is undeniably true. One of the highest concentrations of prize winning micro-breweries in the world is a 30-mile wide by 40 mile long strip between Oceanside and the Mexican border.

Hi Folks,

Wow, I need to stay away from this forum. Yes, I have several boys' knives including a radio.

Anyway, have an ebony and bone on the way.

Yes, I know it's silly, but just couldn't resist the shield, "Beer Scout Knife."

Hope we all have a great week....

Regards,

George

I get excited about new knives from time to time, but seldom as amped up as I've been about the Beer Scout. Between the production versions and the SFO's, we really got our money's worth out of this run. With all of the various shields and covers, there was something for everybody. The Beer Scout is one of the very few knives that I know will stay in my EDC rotation for years to come.

I know that many serious collectors were put off by various aspects of the knife, but it's those aspects that make the Beer Scout truly great. It's the anti-collectors collectible pocketknife. Scout knives have always been sort of "over the top", with all of their various gadgets and gizmos. GEC just took the age old concept, and brought it up another notch or ten.

As proof of concept, I offer to you a stolen copy of the GEC Production Plan Sheet for the Beer Scout Knife. I took it upon myself to do a bit of dumpster diving over the weekend, while GEC security was busy keeping rendezvous visitors in line.
