Im looking at getting a reasonable EDC knife and i want it to be relatively cheap. nothing over 60. I was looking at the SOG flash 1 but i need some more ideas.

Tell me what your favorite EDC knife is. (folder)

What am i looking for?
-light weight
-zero profile (high pocket clip)
-good steel

THe knife i have that matches most of your criteria is the spydeco delica 4 it might just show a little too much when cliped. The Vg10 steel is great and takes a razor edge, its nice and light but the lock is still strong and the FRN handle makes for a great grip.

Though none have a low profile pocket clip(except the SOG's),here's a few

Kershaw Leek
Spyderco Native
SOG Twitch
SOG Trident
....off the top a my head

nice choice, i've heard soo so much about vg steel.
Am looking for a higher clip though, personally i also am not really to fond of the look, but thats just me.

Those are all in the 90 dollar price range JTR.

Rksoon, how much did you pay for the spyderco deleicia 4? and whered u buy it?

I'm not a big fan of the look either, I'm only getting one because they have such a good reputation as strong users, and i've never had a spyderco before. Good luck finding your knife! :)

I found it on amazon so i threw it in with an order of other stuff (55 for knife and 8 for shipping from presentsforyou); i got the plain edge emerson opener delica4. I was looking at newgrahamknives and knifecenter previously though, and i believe that model ran about 67 on those two before shipping. I've had good experiences with presentsforyou so I don't think i'll run into trouble with that.

oo, yeah i still have to get some money. lol im real low right now. awaiting a job call.

But i found a sog flash 1 for 32 $. might buy it.

Leeks go from $30-$130
Native's are around $40-$50
The Twitch is around $60
& the Trident you could find for $60-$70

....look harder:)

If you're going to be around a lot of people (sheeple), then I would recommend the BM555 Mini-Griptilian.

I got one many years ago and would bring it with me to summertime 'music in the park'. I'd use it to cut bread, cheese, and fruit and no one even looked twice (and this is with a black handle).
That sheepsfoot-style blade isn't too "pointy" and doesn't attract the wrong kind of attention, yet it's still a versatile blade and does what you need it to.

I dont mind it looking dangerous, i prefer it actually, incase i ever have to use it in a fight then hopefully just showing it will be enough.

I was looking at the voyager and its real nice, although its 60!!!? thats redonculous. lol its not even that special. Maybe ill reconsider the delica.

I just really wanted a pocket clip that shows 0% of the knife

Get a Leek (Sandvik steel one will run about $30-35). Then get a low-rider pocket clip from STR. The clip will run you somewhere around $25-30 (can't remember exactly what mine cost). I have this exact setup, and it is very very nice. And, you can always upgrade to a higher-end Leek, and keep the clip. Those composite Leeks sure are nice...

Kershaw Shallot.

Great knife; (almost) in your price range. and Ken Onion carries one. How much better recommendation could you get than Mr. Onion?

This knife is around $100 but I really think that the Caly 3 is exactly what you are looking for, IMO the best EDC out there, flat grind, VG-10, low-ride brass wire clip. If you are hung up on the price point your best bet is to buy a Delica or Mini-Griptilian and have someone put a low ride clip on it for you. If you're not interested in that I'd say go with the SOG Flash.
