The best EDC knife?

I have a Kershaw Leek combo blade (1660ST), and for $39.95 on knifeworks.com it's a deal you just cannot beat....razor sharp blade, speedassist is incredible, and very sturdy frame lock.

wth. i hit a wrong button and my comment posted. But i bought a syderco tenacious thanks to everyone who reccomended it to me. i will take and post some pics when it arrives. which will be a while, lol USPS first class international.

I'm saving up my dinero for a Delica 4 Green G-10 plain edge, in hopes that it is indeed the ultimate EDC knife.

So far my best answer has been the Leek, but I think I'll like the Delica better.

I second the BM Mini-Grip as well, that's a quality piece.

Spyderco Centofante III is a bit larger than a Delica but it's still very light... and a GREAT looking design, for sure.

you could also look into a Kershaw Needs Work. :)

You do realize the SOG flash 1 is the size of a small Swiss Army Knife/slightly bigger than the Classic, right?

I don't have my Boker M type to hand (to check the clip) but I think it may well be close to your needs. Very thin, thus comfortable and barely noticeable when carrying. Also a sturdy framelock and 440C steel. Dirt-cheap for the quality. Check it out.

or it's close cousin, the Hyper (a somewhat shorter blade but still a sizeable handle):

thanks for all the opinions people. Ive got a tenacious coming in the mail. btw i found it for 33$ plus 5 $ shipping and then transformed into canadian it came to 41$. so its an okay deal?

and thanks rksoon

Spyderco Centofante 3, or if you'd consider increasing your budget look at the Spyderco UK Pen Knife / Calypso 3.

Im looking at getting a reasonable EDC knife and i want it to be relatively cheap. nothing over 60. I was looking at the SOG flash 1 but i need some more ideas.

Tell me what your favorite EDC knife is. (folder)

What am i looking for?
-light weight
-zero profile (high pocket clip)
-good steel

Some others have said it... I'm a huge, HUGE fan of the Benchmade Griptilian that site I linked has a few good reviews - but what I really like is the page that explains the the differences in steel

The 154cm steel Benchmade uses is pretty damn good... I haven't had to sharpen (other than normal maintenance) my 551s since I got it 2 years ago

The mini is pretty good, I just really like the way the full size one fits in my hand...

Are slipjoints out of the question?

This is my current EDC and it fits your criteria just about perfectly.

Just a hair under $60 (I think I paid under $70 shipped). No pocket clip so it's completely hidden in your pocket, it's not terribly heavy and has excellent steel (D2). It's American made if that means anything.

Buck Vantage Pro if you want good steel for around 50 bucks

I use a buck vantage avid which has lesser steel but is a bargain at 30 bucks

If you don't think 4 ozs. is to heavy my current favorite EDC in that price ranges is my Buck Pro Vantage....
