The Birth Of A Fighting Khukuri (UPDATE)

Joe, the white does, indeed, look sharp. I think any one of the three spacer selections works well with this piece. Just a matter of personal choice (I got ghost).

These are incredible time consuming and have proven to be quite the task.

You don't see many people doing such a complex blade especially at MS quality

Imagine having to do 10 :)

These are gonna take time and believe me they will all get done but Jason has been battling life, kids some sick days, etc. and that includes trying to poor himself into this project with spaced out pay days.

Truly an epic blade , project , maker

I'm truly GRATEFUL to have received one of these epic Kuks from Jason!! :)

Love the Black/White combo on yours Joe! Let me know if this kuk fits your existing sheath... May need to hit me up via PM or email as I may be looking to get another sheath made for my kuk and could use some advice on that sheath of yours... price, time, etc... :)

I feel very bad you did not get one my friend you are fantastic to deal with

The good news is that you are one of the first if not the first on the cancelation list :)

The bad news is that I don't think anyone's canceling :(

Here is more pics of the original Paul Long Baldric style sheath for my first Khukuri

I am hoping and so is Paul that this one fits the new one

 WOW! What a sheath! Paul strikes again.

The white spacers look great. I spoke with Jason on the phone a few weeks ago and we went red to break things up a bit but that white looks damn sweet. Ponder, I must. Any other red guys out there?

I'd go for red! That would be sick!

Thanks for the weigh in, Lorien. Agree the red would look cool. When I spoke to Jason I asked what material the liners were made of. Now, for the life of me, I can not remember his answer.

My worry was if the red faded over time I'd have a pink knife (not that there's anything wrong with pink :) ). Eyeball motorcycle parts that are anodized red after a little time passes.

The white seems the safe way to go but I haven't seen a red yet. Good problem to have...I feel fortunate to have landed one of these.

That's what I was thinking too.

I got ghost but white would be fine with me, just feel blessed to get in on this awesome project ! :)

I'm not sure you could pick a liner color that'd look bad on these Kuks! Ghost was my color, but that's because of the way Jason make the ExK1. The black and white combo look really good as I'm sure red will.

Very true ! ^
I didn't mean to sound like red wouldn't be great, as I left that out of my post when I included white and ghost
I was just too busy to do an edit.
Sorry.

My Khukuri arrived today and what can i say

I was blown away with the first Khukuri Jason made for me. It was the fastest Nicest Khukuri that I ever saw

So I thought I would be rather prepared for this one. I was wrong ........ I am blown away even more

The first one is a pure fighting blade. Very light and fast and almost changes direction like a thorough breed Fighting Bowie

This new veneration is a different animal.

More robust in every way. Not as light and quick as the first but compared to other Khuks its lightening. These Khuks exhibit raw powe. I truly believe I could cleave a man from his collar bone to his navel with a decent swing.

The feel is incredible and as time goes on and I get used to it I will elaborate on its performance

The blade is wicked and it is razor sharp from the clip to the ricassso . The handle is full and curvatiois like Maryln Monroe it's got a big palm swell that has a tapered waste that flares out in the butt:)

It makes for a handle that begs to be swung hard and snap cut with. It lends itself to a controlled rocking that if you understand cutting is gonna put this thing off the chart.

To behold it in person it is the most impressive knife I have seen in years. The complexity of the angles and grinds mixed with the insanely deep fullers makes you think this blade was cast. I can only imagine how difficult this knife is to make and I truly feel Jason's pain.

This series will truly be almost impossible to top

These are once and a lifetime blades. Truly Epic, truly something when you hold in your hand your awed.

Here is a quick pic of the new Khuk next to my first

The new series is on top and they are different enough that the sheath for the first will not work without forcing so sorry Paul its coming your way in time :)

When I get time I will take many detailed photos from different angles to try and capture the craziness of this blade

When I was playing with Katana's a bunch I used to practice cutting single sheets of rolled up news paper balanced n a stool. Doing so will drastically improve your cutting

When I get time I will roll up some sheets and try to make a video

Thanks again for looking and for he guys waiting

It is worth the wait :)
