The BladeForums 2022 Traditional Knife Thread

I fixed it, but from memory I kept changing eternal life and everlasting life, and don't know why I added the word begotten. Sigh... My memory is slipping, and was too lazy to look it up for the right wording.
I'd blame King James. That guy used the weirdest language that bores into my head like an earworm. Sometimes, it's beautiful, though. Weird or beautiful, I'm pretty sure you learned "begotten" from King James when you were younger. Your memory isn't slipping so much as conflating two (or more) translations.

Edit: I should read the rest of the thread before replying.

20230103_172725.jpg413 Gec quality, thankyou Bladeforums. I have been collecting Gec Case knives for the past 3 yrs. I have all the recent gec runs, this knife is very special to me. I'm a avid rabbit hunter hopeful to get out this weekend with my beagle and put this to work.

Very cool Mike. When I got my #283 I remembered that was the size of the engine in my first car. It was a 1964 Chevrolet Impala with a 283 c.I. V-8 with 195hp.View attachment 2036413

My first car was a '68 Impala convertible with a 327. It was a lot rougher than yours.
There's an idea for "sentimental" knife serial/pattern numbers I hadn't considered!🤓
I bought my first car in 1969, a black 1964 Plymouth Barracuda with a 273 ci 180 hp V8 engine (and a smokin' push button automatic transmission). Alan's car looks like it might have had a little advantage over my Cuda.
