The BladeForums 2022 Traditional Knife Thread

It Came!!! It Came!!! My son is effected by his OCD and I know it can be worse for others, he does well but keeps everything exceptionally clean and tidy. I mean everything. I have it as well in a lesser degree. I don't like odd numbers and always end in even at the gas pump and have for years.
That said, I was very happy my number ended in an even number....354 arrived in the mail today 🙂

Lots of conversation about the ebony covers. Some streaked with brown, some roughly finished, one with a severely cracked cover, one with very poor transition from cover to bolster, etc.. Not crowing or anything but I'm pleased that the covers on my #362 are very well finished, fitted to the frame and bolsters nicely, and are a very rich, deep, black. We had a brief ray of sunshine today and I held the knife in the direct sunlight and couldn't detect any brown streaking. All in all a very nice knife.

When I received a "missed delivery" notification on December 31st, I thought I would get my BF2022 by Monday or Tuesday. PostNL drove it around the Netherlands a bit, but I was finally able to pick it up last night! Aside from the springs on both blades being slightly proud at the half stop, the fit and finish is excellent. Very smooth transitions, no gaps, and centered blades. Excellent, smooth action and the ebony is great.

Hopefully, I can sneak out for a minute today and get some better photos. These were taken after dark, inside, last night.

And Âchillepattada Âchillepattada packed it up tighter than a Brinks truck.
