The BladeForums 2022 Traditional Knife Thread

From the other day …

Don’t want to get identified as a flipper, etc (not sure I like the ratting out, kind of went too far on previous 86 BF Barlow). Anyway, as noted in this forum I tried to cancel my purchase when I discovered I wasn’t a qualified buyer. It arrived anyway but I subsequently swapped #408 straight across to a qualified member for one of the Bunny’s pink siblings…and it is a PINK one. I do like how it pairs with the 86 BF Barlow though.

Wow, this dude's listing description:

Here are some questions you might ask me I can address ahead of time:

Q: What is the serial number you have marked off with tape?
A: I wont share that information, buy at your own risk. This information is available to the auction winner after they receive their purchase.

Q: Are you a blade forums member or what is your forums username?
A: I am not a blade forums member, but I hear good things about that group

Q: How did you get this knife if you are not a blade forums member?
A: There are many within the BF ranks that would gladly trade their bunny knife privately

Q: How do you sleep at night knowing you are selling a forum knife our club goes to great lengths to keep off secondary markets?
A: See answer to question 2
so he knows how we feel and still does it.

I have been removed from the FB group and cant even view it as an outsider.

Nah, not really. Maybe the rest of the world has just gotten weirder, but Austin used to be weird in a good way.

Real Austinite test: Do you still insist on calling it "Town Lake"? ;)
I thought that was the only name for it?
What did they change it to, the "Master Beto O'Rourke Recreational Waterway" ??
I liked the old weird Austin... the new weird? not so much....

lol. "Lady Bird Lake"

Only new folks and news anchors call it that. (also pronouncing Menchaca as "men-chaca" instead of the traditional "man-shack") Lots of shibboleths around here.

Old 512 is picking up some patina.
