The BladeForums 2022 Traditional Knife Thread

Still surprised I haven’t seen a Big Lebowski joke in this thread yet… Anyways, I really like it Charlie, and thanks for showing the historical examples!

Regarding serial numbers. When orders are closed I'm going to be putting together a spreadsheet with names, usernames, addresses and such for my use. At that time I will start taking requests for serial numbers NOT BEFORE.

I will also start issuing refunds for shipping for those first hundred who got hit at that time, it'll be easier for me to tackle it then. I have NOT FORGOTTEN about that.
I’m always that guy that likes the random numbers usually. First come first serve, that being said I’m sure I was one of the first to order so that’s my privilege speaking wanting a single digit number. Will be cool to try and request! Thanks!

^ there’s already been examples shown of the GEC knives with stamped numbers on the bolsters, I can’t believe we’d get an ugly etch like that.
I doubt that the 500 knives will be numbered 1 of 500 🙄……….was a joke 😀

GEC used to fairly regularly put numbers on the bolster. I miss that, and have always thought that would help prevent the flippers too.

I better get a membership and order one of these soon so I can get #400 lol

Wait a minute- there’s no knife at all, is there? This was all an elaborate ploy to gather our current locations for reasons yet unknown. OPEN YOUR EYES, PEOPLE! This is just Big Bladeforums scheming against us. I mean, have you ever heard of a “bunny knife”? What’s next, FRUIT knives? STEAK knives?
🤣

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, it probably already has, but putting a ruler up to the drawing and making the handle 3.5" to scale on my ruler looks like:
The main blade is about 2.65"
And the secondary blade is 2"
That sounds just about perfect.

I understand, but the font choice is weird in my opinion, kind of random. It also looks too big.

If it might have been just like on the old bunny knives Charlie showed, that would be more traditional. Like that:

Agreed
Gotta be honest, not crazy about the "Bunny Knife" billboard, but I'll be happy just getting one.

👆😃
Nothing a little flitz can’t solve!
