Oh man that’s a terrible etch! Beautiful knife though otherwise. Would much prefer no etch especially over that so that it doesn’t take away from the rest of it

They're pretty easy to remove if you want to. Use some Flitz.

Thumbing through a compendium of Australian poetry from the olden days I came across this stanza...part of a lost saga attributed to John "Ukelele" McGinty...The Man From Dribbly Creek...

Perhaps next year the forum knife can be supplied with a set of water slide transfers (like those from Airfix models) so those who want an etch on the blade can choose exactly the font/size/style they want.

I took it as the b was an "up" ear and the y was a "down" ear
