The BladeForums 2022 Traditional Knife Thread

The polished ebony looks great, but for a user knife the matte ebony gives a more secure grip and has a velvety feeling in the hand that I like a lot.

This year’s knife and tube are really great, everyone involved did a fine piece of work.

I'm really enjoying the personal patina of use the brushed ebony takes on, too. I don't think it will ever be as polished as the polished ebony scales are on some of my other knives, but it "buffs up" from my pockets and hands and it takes on some oils from handling as well. Really lovely stuff!
