Anything is possible, but everytime I see one of these cartoon characters posting here my first thought is the guy I mentioned before with multiple personalities, our own Clown Prince of the Moderating Corps Vampire Gerbil!

Nobody has convinced me yet that he's not Kysa, GUNNER, Mickey77, Macca and a whole bunch of other strange visitors.

Another possibility is Spark, who works constantly to keep the Forums running. I wouldn't put it past him to throw in these little bits of comic relief when we get hardup for a bit of entertainment.

I stoped pulling the legs off of bugs and the wings off of flys years ago. This is one of the most pathetic posts I've yet to see on BFC. If any of you are really proud of your negitive posts, then so be it. I thought name calling and personal attacks were below the standards of a knife community such as BFC.

If you all feel that DD is so low, why are you lowering yourselves to his level?

I'm with Tom: The ocean in Maine is way too cold. It hurt more than my feet...

Sorry, you're a day late and a dollar short to churtle in on this one. The post has been pretty much dead since Dirty Dave went away to lick his wounds.

Dave got this kind of treatment because he wanted to see if he could spoil an honsest dealers business. He learned that you don't bad mouth dealers just because they don't make special price breaks for you. Sounds like he should have done some comparison shopping before he let his fingers do the talking.

Plus the fact that he lies to cover his mistakes.........and gets busted bigger than Dallas (pretty bad when a moderator nails you in front of your fellow forumites).

I guess this was a BF Blanket Party, and I like many others had a towel and a bar of soap, and a lot of fun.

So be it.

I'm usually considered pretty obnoxious about complaining about personal attacks on this forum. The rules are against them. But...I don't see this as being quite the same thing. When two people have a heated disagreement that ends in namecalling, that's a sad situation for BF. But here we have an entirely different sad situation. To begin with, we have Dirty Dave trying to use the GB&U for character asassination and an attempt to "punish" a dealer who wouldn't come down on his prices. Then we have the same person log on with a different alias, in a pathetic attempt to defend himself and deceive forumites. A ruse that was quickly uncovered. Next we hear he's having a bit of a problem keeping up his end of bargains.

And yet DD persists, all the while insisting that he's just a poor, misunderstood guy. DD's actual problem is that we understand him all too well. And if it walks like a dirty duck, quacks like a dirty duck, then I thinks its acceptable to call it a dirty duck, especially since it still wants to crap in your yard instead of flying away to crap in someone else's yard.

Three pages, over 70 posts. Licking wounds my ass, watching this. Just because a "dealer" sells a few thousand knives and develops a reputation, does not mean their beyond reproach. This multiple personality thing is way cool, how many of me do you think are out out? I've discovered the crowd that took the little yellow bus to school. Wasn't special ed cool? And to think many of those teachers thought they were waisting there time!!! Heaven forbid!!!

Dirty Dave: If it was solely about a dealer's attitude, this thread would have died a long time ago. But you then tried to be too clever and continue to try to be too clever when in fact you are not clever at all.

You have yet to make any kind of case that Fred deserved the assault you made on him and you amply illustrated your abrasiveness so that most people in the forum can make up their own minds about the kind of interaction you and Fred had. People have tried to explain to you what the function of the GB&U is all about. It isn't for attacking dealers who won't lower their prices. It's for dealing with dishonest people--like you.

Dirty Dave has done more "encores" than The Who reunion tour! Now he is doing promo's for Cheaper Than Dirt before he makes his final farwell. Will he ever leave??? I hope not, my blood pressure is way down since he's been on BF. The doctor was right, I just needed an outlet.
