The Buck you want most of all......

A nice 315 is not as far away as it looks like.

I'm searching for a 500 scrimshaw "loom" together with the original wooden display box.
If somebody has one to share, I would give two knives for one:

A 315 Yachtsman

And a 321 Birds knife

What do you think?

Best,
Haebbie

I've also been wanting a nice 315 with the silver bolsters. I remember some years ago, I was going to buy one, and all they had left was the display model and it had scratches on the bolsters. The store wasn't willing to lower the price and I didn't buy it:(

Hey Fritz! You do get around! :)

By "the auction site" are you reffing eBay? ...or some other auction that I obviously should know about?

There was a nice 315 Yachtsman on eBay last week but it went for pretty big $bucks$ I'm guessing because it included the original cardboard box.

...and then, of course, as I continue to hunt and research my need increases and the price that seemed high awhile back is now sounding more and more reasonable  :o

Yeah thats the one-I try to avoid any gigs for deal spotting. If I see one I'll try give you a contact via PM or email or yahoo ya:D

I guess new most wanted will be Folding Ergohunter, question is Pro or Avid? I dont have any Sanvik yet.

A BG42 110.I also wish the 112 was offered as a regular custom shop item, then I could really spend some money.Although, there are a few more 110s' that I want made!

Folding Ergo Hunter is a knife I want .
Good steel S 30 V is on a blade, nice design, but is very small size 76 mm for me it is
not enough.

...<snip>...If I see one I'll try give you a contact via PM or email or yahoo ya:D

Hey Fritz! Thanks for that, In turn, I'll keep an eye out for a "Folding Ergohunter, question is Pro or Avid?" ..of course, first I'll do some research so I'll know what the heck one looks like!

For the time being I'm real happy that I've targeted my knife collecting to only the Rigging/Rope Knife genre. If I were looking around more generally this could easily become a full time activity!!

I've had a few Bucks I wanted or lusted for over the years - 124, 172, 315, 895, etc. I wanted a 315 I could afford - and found two:

The LH one has a sheath, the RH a box. Santa got me a 172 this past Christmas:

I know the 172 isn't a 'classic' Buck - but I've always wanted one - and finally afforded one - as they were being cancelled!! The 124 still eludes me, as does a 'good' price on an 895.

I still treaure my most current 'gotta have' or 'ultimate find'... at least until the next one is visualized!

I suppose that it would be a nice 124. I have at least one example of nearly all the Bucks that I want to own, but that's one I don't have.
