The Busse suggestion box.

Really though if Jerry wanted to really commit to the Khurki thing he could offer KZ's in 16", 18" and 20" all about .320" thick. :D

Make them all Combat Grades and offer them at the same time.

I bet he'd sell a bunch of them.

Hey good Idea, beings your already setup for video production and your always testing Busse knives anyway.

I would even send them back after I was done if he wanted. :D

I would have to have them awhile to make sure they were tested fully though. ;)

Garth could make them new again and they could be sold at the shows. :D

I'm sure they'd need alittle refinishing after you got done testing and beating the sh#% out of them. But thats what their made for right! ;)

You've got a one track mind Lacosa. :D :)

And a derailed one at that!

* usable choil, or a TINY choil to help with sharpinging. No more in between size choils.
* more straight handle knives
* thinner knives in the EDC range(.125 to .150)

Hey, thats pretty good for a guy thats a bit OCD. I could think of much more I would change with most any other company.

Straight handles - It doesn't have to be exactly like the old SH or BM Straight handles, but to me the handle design seems absolutely flawless. I understand it'd probably tick off a lot of collectors, but let me just say as selfishly as possible.. Gold is an investment, stocks are an investment.. I don't consider knives as one. Make more knives for the user.

A longer battle mistress. Take an FFBM and add two inches of blade length and add even more width/belly to the blade.

First of all, GREAT thread idea 230G:thumbup::thumbup: Especially since Busse has proven to be a company that values their customers opinions.

While I agree with many of the comments made, if I had one request it would be to see a new run of the SHBM. Personally I don't think it would be a hit to the collectors since a vintage BM will always be just that... vintage. A new version could be identifiable by the new logo, scales or the lack of the A-Sym grind. A true Busse collector will still have a solid investment should he only want it to collect dust. Meanwhile the people who want to beat the snot out of their knives can do so while staying under the protection of the warrenty. AND when I say a "true" Busse collector, I simply mean someone who wants all things Busse, old, new, thick or thin. That statement had nothing to do with users vs non-users.

Actully in my most humble opinion, I think the SHBM should ALWAYS be offered at the Busse shop. It is a flagship model and the knife most indentied with Busse. In my case, I knew of the BM before I knew what or who Busse was.

Again great thead idea:thumbup::thumbup:

Anything small without a choil

I don't really have a need for much more in the big busse category - Jerry has big blades absolutely NAILED with the mistresses, nmsfno, sar8, etc...

Thanks man!

Now we're talkin'. . . . Finally, somethin' I'm good at!!!! :D

Let's Drink!

We all here know your very good at making and designing knives, And we truly appreciate that. "THANK YOU BOSS"  :)

I know this comes up a lot, and for the most part the grinds/sharpness seem to have gotten better and sharper BUT....

The uneven grind and resulting dull edge on front 2.5 inches my BWM is unacceptable on a $300+ knife....

I know its going to get used and sharpened out but still, c'mon.

So my suggestion is still better QC on the evenness/sharpness of the grinds.

Trailwolf,

I agree that it is very unacceptable.

The primary bevel grinds are produced using CNCs, so the uneveness seems very confusing.

Are you talking about the edge grind?

Send that puppy in and we'll make it right by you. . .

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience,

Boss man - this is why you have a customer for life. I dont think there is another company out there where the main man himself will respond in such a way

I'm not too in the know on knife lingo, but to be more clear: the actual angle or slope of the edge grind varies on each side... its like the grind angle on one side is 45* and the other is 35*. Does that make sense? If not, the pics below may be worth 1,000 words :D In the pics, if you draw a line across from where the right grind ends, you can see the variance...

The grind angle is fine on the rest of the blade - its just the first few inches near the tip that are affected - starting about where the blade curves to the tip....

My camera is pretty sucky at close-up shots, here are a few pics to help illustrate - as you can see, the left side is a much steeper angle:

Again, its only on the front few inches so I'm not sure if i'll send this baby out, but it is certainly excellent to have the option.

Thanks again!
-Harry
