morning boys, just came from a hand therapist and she said my muscles are too tight...i guess i lift to much bro.

I been wanting a new tattoo or debating to turn my half sleeve into a full sleeve. What did your wife end up getting?
 
Justin the forging and hamon are looking good! I hear 1084 can be tricky to get a hamon too. Nice heat treat setup with the vertical quench... I'm going to weld one up eventually.

Drew do you lift or what! :D I used to go to therapy for my wrist being stiff but now I just think it helps my grinds. :D

What did you get Bobby? I'm still saving up for my SRV style chest peacock. :D Actually I have a few tattoos...

I think I'd break myself off on a fixed gear but I like the concept! Cool bike X!


I'm watching the kilns... click... click... I've been grinding since early and all day yesterday. S7 prybars and they are kinda fancy!
 
Here's a Cigar box Guitar I recently built... it sounds pretty good! :) Once I add a pickup I'll do a video of the sound. They are a lot of fun to play... the cigar box was the cash register for my first business and has been around the block. It is played with a slide and currently tuned to open G.

I used G10 for the bridge and nut! antiqued... but the nut still needs some work

I got some interpretive Alex Grey art down my right tricep/bicep. Its mostly lined and the eyes are shaded. Headed back in October to finish it up! She got a shoulder tattoo of our puppy. She loves our animals!
 
^ Good eye! It's part of the bridge... saddle I guess? I ran the strings all of the way through a la Telecaster for more sustain, lol. I used G10 on the reverse for a ferrule and as a spacer near the bridge/body gap. I want to use more copper on knives and guitars in the future.

I'll do a video too... it was a fun and relaxing project. I thought it would sound pretty bad but once everything came together it sings nicely. It's pretty solid too...


I had a big day today and final ground/heat treated 8 S7 Pry Bars. These have a bit more time in them than the last couple of batches and I think are coming along nicely. I'm hoping to sign and finish them tomorrow morning along with pics. this afternoon I worked on just one knife but put a lot of time into the scales... a Kwaiken with Ti Bolsters, Ti screws and some insane LVA Carbon Fiber scales.

Nice animal theme going on here.

Put a #2 phillips bit into my left hand as it wiggled free from a 3" screw. My whole hand is in excruciating pain! I'll get this shop together sometime soon :P

Check out Les Claypool's single string bass... some of the footage is so so but when I saw Primus in concert is was killer!

Xander how is the rod going? I'm still wanting to go fishing.... maybe Kokanee season!

Have you gotten a chance to work on the tube amp? one day I'll build one... I found a good forum with some builds.
 
Morning guys!

Well, the silhouette match didn't go as I had hoped. My rifle does not like to shoot when it's clean, combined with a pulled muscle in my back and I was all over the place the first two stages. It was frustrating. But, by the 3rd string of fire my barrel was properly seasoned again and the painkillers dulled my back pain enough, but I still couldn't get comfortable behind the rifle.

Haven't ordered the stuff for the rod yet, finally got a shipping notice on a new rifle barrel for my .30-'06 and they should be charging my card soon. Tube amp project is still sitting there waiting, lol, I might just order everything soon for it.

I hope your back heals soon... that will throw your shooting game off for sure.

Cool on the rod, guns and the amp! I still want to build a rod... and heck an amp too!

I'm going full on SRV mode soon, once I get the tattoo I am gong to work on my robe collection. :D
