What's up guys! Been a busy bee here, we are getting our house ready to sell...who knew we had so much crap. Trying to de clutter the house, paint, finish little honey dos all over the house. I'm off the next few days to tackle the list. But I am squeaking in a little knife making....shhh don't tell the wife. I have a little neck knife I'm working on for my self that I'm trying to get done before I tear down my garage knife shop to sell the house.

Yo!
JP, best of luck with the house sale.
Kermmak, watch out, you could turn out as bad as X. haha.
Have a killer day y'all.

Been awhile, hope D's alright!

Got the collet installed last night. No end mills yet. Hoping for today!

Need to figure out how to attach the vise. Pretty sure I have all the pieces for it, just a matter of getting good instructions. The ones that came with this mill are awful!

Make it a great one, right X?!

Daniel, should we send help? I have a sweet snow shovel....yes, I know I live where it hasn't snowed for mmmmm over 30 years...but it was anodized so I bought it! :D

Strapped everything in. Slapped some spare steel in a vice, bit in with my first end mill, broke it. Whhyyyy!

Danielllll where did you go!

Evening y'all!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday! Bobby, you have a copy of Machinists Handbook? Speed and feed man, speed and feed!

Been looking into getting another airrifle for training. Looking at the Daisy 853, should be just fine for me.

Make it great!

the 853 is a very solid shooter. I ended up with the 753, but it could have gone either way. the Avanti peep site isn't the best in the world, but it does its job, and can always be replaced later (and at that price, is hard to beat).

Enjoy!

Maybe Daniel is hibernating, I hear that the squatch do that when the snow gets fence high.
Bobby, maybe it was suuuuuuuper steel... ;) Sorry man, that blows . Wilson could probably help you out.
X, does the Daisy go "plink plink" instead of "pew pew" ? :D
BTW, I joined the cult of the Douk Douk.

Liam, I'm mainly going for the 853 because of the price, $115 delivered is hard to beat for a used one! As long as it comes with a front sight that is a post (like my AR15) the rear will be fine. I can get a good selection of match grade pellets locally too.

Kevin, the 853 is a low powered target rifle, is goes more of a "clack" than anything. I could use my Gamo, but it's scoped.

Make it great!

I think the front comes with a globe/iris sight, same as the 753. But either way, that's a fantastic price. Just get it.

Hey guys!

I hope everyone is doing great!!!

I'll be here more soon and it's going to be huge year!

I promised a neighbor I'd help him with some work and what was supposed to be a few days has turned into a serious month... I'm working a few more days as we make a big push to complete the bulk of our job and after that will be back in the shop.

We've been working 12 hour shifts for the last two weeks and it just keeps going... I'll be helping out some more over the next month sporadically but not a ton more as things are looking good. We puled an early half day yesterday and I after that got 6 knives ground with 12 done this week so I have been very busy to say the least!

Hand me the ibuprofen...

It does, and I know they make an insert that is a post too, I just hope it comes with it! Maybe we'll have to have a postal match once I get mine!

I really should still be sleeping but this work thing is ruining my life. :p
X and Liam, I really hate it when you two start talking about air rifles. It always gets me doing internet searches and thinking about buying another one. ;)
D, sup dawg.....don't work yourself too hard. Rolf needs at least 17 more tantos :D

How are you guys?
Americans talk to buy a air rifle.... I want one.
The Daisy looks good, but is power ( fps ) is anemic. For training is better a airgun with a litlle more power.
For training I own a Gamo Hunter 440 in 4,5 mm (.177) and muzzle velocity 305 m.s ( 1000 fps aprox. ), for pest control is the best tool:D

Kevin, your old Gamo is an excellent gun, with some light mods you can really make it into a great hunting gun! A trigger makes a big difference. I want to put a new trigger in my Gamo too, maybe when I do order it I'll order one for yours to save on shipping.

Kermmak, the Avanti 853 is a specific match rifle and not intended for hunting. They are supremely accurate though! The Gamo Hunter 440 is a great gun, that's the same one Flatblackcapo has I believe. I have a Gamo Shadow 1250 4,5 rifle and a Norica 83 pistol that has to be 30 years old! I have several other air pistols too though. Are you limited to the low energy levels for airguns in your country like other parts of Europe?

Today is recovery day for me, got in a fight with a bottle of tequila last night...I think the tequila won but I finished it!

Make it great!

fwiw - match air rifles are restricted to under 600fps in most competitions, Kermak. I don't use these for hunting. :)

FBC - Feinwerkbau (FWB) 800. Just get it (or buy one for me). :D It's only $2500. A bargain.

Starting to get our house ready to put in the market in a couple months, so I've been schlepping things to the storage unit all day. Managed to grab a few minutes at the record store, at least. So that was nice.

Hope you all are enjoying your Sunday.
