Oh god, I still have a bunch of that. It's killer, for sure! I have to think twice before brewing it.

Kev what you been up to lately? Your IG's been empty. Where dem sharps?!

I took a bunch pics of the Mega last night but non came out the way i wanted. You were right D, it looks freaking unbelievably gorgeous in person way better than the pics. I must improve my photography skill by taking more tonight. A huge thanks to you my friend, words can't describe how much I appreciate the things you've done for me! :thumbup:
 
You know what they say? Cant get pics to turn out nice? Time to send it out for a passaround! ;)

Bobby, REI (my bike shop job) has turned into a full time gig. The knife making has slowed down as a result. I do have a few in the making though I will shoot you a text.
BLK, congrats on the Mega! Put your camera on macro and find some good natural light and don't forget to share the pics with us!

D, whatcha doin' with that CTS-XHP? I think that is one of Xander's favorite steels.

<sniff sniff> do I smell XHP?!

Mmm, love that stuff! Sharpens up like a laser and keeps its edge like a rock hammer! It gets such a fine edge I'd compare it to something like 52100 or 14C28N, but the retention is way higher!


I'd like to get a 1"×2" piece to try a razor from, sort of kamisori style but with composite handle.

Thanks! The real test is if I can get it to work, then look pretty. Nervous about that for sure.

X I've never worked with XHP or I'd look for scrap.

Sorry I've not been posting much. Super busy as we're prepping to move. CHI --> ATL in 28 days. Lots to do in the meantime. Two houses to close on, and work work work.

Gah.

Lucky thing I have beautiful knives to look at and keep me centered. Daniel - that latest fricky really is a gem.

I, I shot the sheriff. But I didn't shoot no deputy.

XHP, my only XHP (weird it was my only because I do have far too many knives) was sold BACK to Big Chris... weird. Never sold a knife back to a maker... It looks like good steel(composition wise, but doesn't stand out in any one category as I recall.. I may recall incorrectly.), but I'd be more into M4, 10v, 110v, D3, martian dust alloy and the likes...

Half the day with no kids.. I might relapse... torrettes F#@*%$@ KIDS!#$ WTF@#%#$ SHI@%$#@$# FU@$#% CNT@$#!#!@!!!!! lol have a good one!
 
Sloth, I need to try that Martian dust steel!
Might get a little shop time today.
