What a long and exhausting day. 50 mile drive that I'll repeat again on Tuesday.

On a positive note, my counterbore came in today. Hopefully it'll last, only being HSS and not carbide. Gotta be real nice to it!

D that new folder looks wicked! The pick you sent of your bench is nuts; so many folder parts! Folderpalooza!

Hey guys!

X, sounds like you have some cool stuff lined up! I still want to build an AK... best of luck with the car stuff too! \

Thanks Bobby!!!! I got the slitting saw, that was very cool! The arbor looks killer as well.

Guys, check www.fairlyknives.com RF1!!!

Sounds like going to my mailbox Bobby!

The HSS will last a good while. I got a bit of deforming early on with one of mine but that was probably random luck...

Thanks on the folder, it really came out nicely.

Many folders on the bench, 4 TJT's in XHP and 2 roughed out with Ti blades. I also have some extra RF1 blades, a one off folder blade {thanks again for that saw yo!} 2 .315" D2 tantos {fixed blades} and the XHP fricky! Thanks!

This...

I've been busy... heat treated over 50 knives and tools in the last week or so and also have 8 framelocks going in various stages. Here's a RF1 I just finished up today.

Here was the bench this morning, it's a bit crowded! I have 6 of my TJT framelocks going in CTS-XHP and Ti/Carbide... several RF1 framelock blades, a fricky in XHP, 2 fixed blade tantos in .315" D2 and a one off 4" blade framelock in CPM154.

D, That RF1 is alllllllmost as cool as your coffee cup. :D
X, did you find your tooth?:D
Gotta go to work.

I love that cup, lol it was made for tourists but like most down island stuff is completely inappropriate lol

I hope it was a good one Kevin!

D,
What do you call that deeply carved handle texture? It is really amazing.

TR

Thanks T! I need a name, thanks! I sure like the look and feel.

Your work is looking killer! I love the new friction folder...

Thanks, D.

It reminds me of tree bark - like Tamarak (yellow pine). Do you have those out your shop door? Looks like it was inspired.

Evening fellas!

Had a very productive day around here. Just chillin' around the fire pit making smores with the wife and kid.

Managed to get one AR machined and built today, a DMC A2 Service Rifle for CMP and NRA matches.

This gun is mine and is fully match grade with all the tricks, bells and whistles. Except for the fire control group (trigger assembly) it a tuned and reworked milspec I had sitting around. It's a nice trigger, but I want a two stage in there soon.

Making it great!

Evening guys, just finished in the shop, got another AR lower done. Only got a few more to do but I think I should buy some more before November...

Sitting in the hammock, enjoying the evening breeze. Wife and MIL are in the kitchen and life is good!

X, that rifle is sweeeet! It reminds me of a toy M16 that I had as a kid.......when they made cool toy guns.
Hope everyone is having a killer weekend!
Peace out, G's.

Thanx Kevin! I hope it's a good shooter too, but I just have to remember to keep the nut behind the stock in check, lol! It's basically a late 80's early 90's variant (semi-auto version of M16)

At work collecting double time today!

Looks good Xander, my buddies and me have the fn versions. Finally popped a beer with my fricky at a party last night.

MDB, you have a FN made AR or something like a SCAR? This upper is a pinned match sight receiver from Fulton Armory but a Cerro Forge made. The rest of the upper is from White Oak Armament.

Daniel, you might want to look into the 80% AK47 if you have access to a spot welder. Other than that, the Palmetto State Armory AK is a nice inexpensive model.

Back at it again at work today, hope y'all are making it great!

Liam, when are you guys moving? Maybe you can teach the locals how to drive in snow when that happens again down there, lol!
