Yep its a m16 ar variant from fn....I want a scar after my buddy let me try it out at a 100 yards. Man its sweet just not sure I can afford it with all the nice toys on it.

Akbuilder is a good resource for a kit

Yeah, a scar is not cheap! I have an FN made upper receiver that's pretty nice, I just need to swap out the rear sight because it has 1 MOA elevation clicks and I need at least 1/2 MOA but 1/4 is better.

Sitting at little dudes first soccer practice today, he's having a blast! Thankfully the YMCA is still going strong here.

Make it great!

Hey guys! I'm grinding with one hand as I type this...

I worked through the weekend but still got a brisket thrown in the oven and plenty of grilling done. I am worn out! I should have 4 TJT's ready soon!

Thanks! Guys it was forged, cold forged {it's not a myth!}, salt quenched, triple quenched, quadruple normalized, powdercoated, cerakoted, parkerized, nitre blued, browned, etched, anodized, tumbled, acidwashed, folded 1464 times... then I threw that away and just cooked one with Lawry's.. dug the first one out of the trash, ate it and... purple squirrels!!!!

D, when you get a free minute do you think you could describe your lockface cut process? I got mine at 8 degrees but unless you really engage the lock, it produces a slight rock. I'm bothered by it!

acidwash ---> purple squirrels.

Happens every time. Woulda been OK otherwise.

Mornin, yall.

Fact!

Hi T!

I started at around eight but go closer to eleven now... more important how much vertical lockup area do you have?

Most of it meets. I was fitting different lockfaces on it and discovered that one which the front of the lockbar touches the tang while leaving a bit of the back jntocuhed produced a much more solid lockup.

Thanks Rolf!

That finish was tricky, I'm glad I have fingers intact! I was going for the Japanese "cat scratch" or a wood grain copper style...

Hey guys!!! 12 hours in the shop yesterday and lots going on today! Knives!!!!!!
