Here's an evil little, lightweight smasher. Ken Marsh Warhammer. Carbon fiber and Titanium.

We are moving this week so I have everything packed, but I will do my best to get the heavy hitters out soon. I love the pics so far!

Here is one I have readily available (Just a tiny maul I have):

I love how that turned out. I’m going to make a shorter one like yours, I just need to find o good root ball. Did you make it from one of the pieces of drift wood you posted ?

Yessir. the one on the right, per your suggestion. Here in the pacific northwest good curved rootball logs are easy to come by, the way trees grow on the mountain slopes. This one was found way off-trail in the Olympic mountains, pretty close to the elk remains from whence came the foreleg bone.

I'd like to work on that massive elk bone, next, but unsure about what to do

pullrich.
I made a club out of a Moose leg bone a few years ago. I'd cut off the small end of the bone close to the knuckle and find a nice branch that you can carve to fit way up inside the bone and stick out for the handle extension, epoxy it inside and you could pin it too. If you carve the handle to match up with the outside size of the bone they turn out very nice looking.

Regards

Robin

Would a ball and chain work for this? If so I can post a pic of her later.

Oh please oh please oh please!

Aside from a ball-n-chain flail thing, also on my wish list for this thread is a massive two-hand crusher.
Something that would completely smash a pumpkin, not just knock a hole in it.

Cool idea, Robin, I could try that. Sounds like the idea is that the wood handle is flush with the bone section, right?
I would probably aim for using an old thick hoe handle for the wood part, but whatever it is it would need to be real thick, this bone is pretty big. or I could trim down the bone....

Pullrich, I'd look at grinding down the bone where it flairs at the bottom left in your picture, I believe the flair is solid bone.

Best regards

Robin

Now look what you guys made me do!

(And it wasn't enough that your pics made me go and slap some cast iron fittings to the end of an old rake handle--nooooo--I had to sand and finish the handle before turning it into a zombie bashing club that now hangs on a nail inside the closet by my front door!)

That ting is awesome; it looks like something Macgyver might make in a zombie outbreak. Where did you get that big lug? Extra points for the tactical closet placement.
