The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

Not really "anticipation", as just arrived. But as I am pretty exited I just wanted to give you a quick and dirty look. My normal pictures will follow soon.

My new EDC:

Plus a large Classic, with Bloodwood inlays and an interesting Ladder damascus blade pattern and a large pre Idaho Made 21, with Mammoth Bark inlays and a gorgeous Spriograph damascus blade. Blade seems to me coated, as I can see a kind of "film" on the blade and the damascus pattern comes out almost in 3D (which I am not able to capture with my cell phone camera. Very happy with them!

James, this better be a short-street or I won't make it! I am so weak from swooning every time my eyes are filled with that large sebenza mammoth with those scales to die for!! I feel faint, my knees get weak, I forget to breathe because I am so smitten my that knife.
I guess what I am trying to say... Cool knife Dude! 👍🏻
But just in case it ever gets to heavy for you to bother your self with , I would be glad to help relieve your burden and take it off your hands.
Lol. Just was smitten by poetry when I saw that knife! Couldn't help myself. I guess will have to redeem my self by posting a new knife that I will be playing with tomorrow. Let me catch my breath...

I have been waiting on this beauty to arrive for what seems like forever. When you see it you will know why! I am reuniting some long lost siblings. I few weeks ago the brother of this beautiful young lady found a forever home with our family and now the sister! I am positive that the knife I am about to show you is a girl, she's just too pretty to be a boy!

I hope you like her as much as I like her. For some pics of her brother scroll back a few pages and you will see the similarities.

Lone_wolf got a sneak peek a few weeks back. I have never been one for pimping a knife, but that is too crude a word to describe what this simple but elegant engraving does to the clean lines of a Mnandi. It just dresses this knife up!

Hope you all like it!

I am much less skilled on poems. I am just saying "holy sh..." :-) That is an absolutely fantastic peace. Already the mammoth is just great. But together with the engraving I am speachless! Luky you are, my friend. Enjoy it.

Thanks. Most of my mammoth bark Mnandi have basket weave damascus. Would prefer more variation. But seems to be the favourite damascus pattern for mammoth bark Mnandi.

I am not sure why, but I am not really into basketweave.. I do prefer older style raindrops a lot.. but I wouldn't turn down a ladder...

Congrats on the hat trick!

And you too, James! Looking forward to your pics of them!

Now only one more! :) Grabbed one for myself. A hat-trick for me! My first Mnandi, first Basketweave Damascus, and first Mammoth!!!

Thank you for the heads up, Stefan!

The ones you grabbed are the best, but I like mine as well.

Congratulations buddy! You hit 3 birds with one fine hat trick....

Thanks, LW and ice man!

I really love the mammoth scales I've seen that you all have. Since they are no longer produced, I wanted to get at least one for myself. Plus, I have been wanting a Mnandi for a while now, so this is excellent. I just wish CRK made a large version. :( I'm guessing the Mnandi will be able to disappear in my closed hand easily.

Maybe some day...

Congrats on the mammoth guys. I seen them a few minutes after it was announced but am more akin for a Sebenza as my first mammoth. I love basketweave though and these ones were pretty sweet....!!!

Congrats scocom1970! Great that you picked one out of that bunch. I think all 3 are beauties. I had a hard time to decide but 3 would have been way to much budget eaten up :-)

I think you've been smart to pick it. As you said. They are no longer producing mammoth and the very few items currently showing up at dealers are either NOS, like the ones from Neil, or just the very final deliveries against some old dealer backorders. So very soon that game is over and they will be only available through secondary market and I doubt that prices will decrease .....

Yes. The Mnandi will most likely kind of "disappear" in your closed hand. Please see picture of my hand and my edc Mnandi. I have large hands (glove size 10, if that helps) but I can still handle the Mnandi in a secure way. As you can see, putting my thumb at the jimpings I have 4 fingers under the grip. So that's all my available fingers :-) This way of holding the Mnandi gives you full control and a secure grip. I mean honestly speaking this is not the type of knives to punch through car doors and cut tires of heavy mover trucks ..... I think we all agree on that. But for me it is a perfect addition to my large Sebenza edc, when I am in public surroundings, e.g. going out with friends. Where a large sebenza may cause irritation among some people, the Mnandi never does. And it can handle most of the tasks my large sebenza can handle. So you should be fine with it.

Thanks, nyfemaker. I was hoping for a Mammoth Sebenza also... maybe another day. Still happy with the Mnandi.

Thank you for your explanation, Stefan. The Mnandi's size has been my biggest concern. I am 1.95 meters tall and have the biggest hands of anyone I know. I really am looking forward to using my Mnandi and following your recommendations for it.

Thank you for the in hand pics! I really appreciate that as I have size 10 hands as well so that gives me a really good idea how a Mnandi will fit. I think I can describe it as dainty. The Mnandi, not your hand. 😀

COngratulations to all who grabbed the recent TNK drop... Looks like there is a pattern here... the last few post were of Mnandis... and all were Mammoth Barks... lol

Just called CRK to get the screw replacement for the pocket clip. :)
