The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

Its coming from "across the pond", so im desperately crossing my fingers it arrives safe...ugh:(

Sneak Peak #2 coming soon(soon as i figure out how to crop pics ) lol:p

You can send it to me and I'll crop it.

This one is still basically new to me. Bought it and sent it off to the CRK Spa a day or so later. Was heavily scuffed, had a nick on blade, some oxidation on blade, and stop pin was missing, not sure if it came that way or I lost it when cleaning. Anyways, CRK made it New Again. Has a BG-42 Blade which is pretty special. Scales put it at B-00. I have always loved the Classic MM engraving.

Yep, definitely one of the early ones. They did an amazing job on it. Was well worth the wait. Think I am going to finally send in the Flag Original Sebenza to get it face lifted also.

Lisa worked wonders with a Scott Cook UG I have, you won't regret having her sweeten up that Flag.

Is that the old one I used to have....??? The small regular....?

It most certainly is, Sweety. ;)

Yep, that's the one. So glad it made it to you. I had no idea of the history of it.

I didn't either, at first. I sent it to the spa, and asked for it to be re-anodized. They told me what it would look like, and I had the presence of mind (fortunately) to ask who did the graphics. I was told it's a Scott Cook, and even have a second birth card for it documenting that fact. It's got a place in my collection for sure.

I will have to fill you in on the story of how it came about and the others that followed it.... Lol. Definitely something you will enjoy ;-)

Please do!

Sometime when I really have time to do it, I'm going to do a history of the UG thread, starting with a numbered P and going right up to a very current, with every major point in UG history shown. That's what I spent 5 years putting together. I just knw it won't be anytime this summer, I've got way too much on my plate for that.

When you do, let me know. Have lots of UG pics you can add to it and some super colorful ones as well. Anyway I can help, just let me know.

Wow Nyfe, they did an incredible job on that Classic. Always loved the "MM" way more than the smaller, "Idaho Made"

Rules be damned!
Rulesy Pulesy!
As far as I am concerned you can interrupt my CRK knife flow anytime for beauties such as this!

How much do you know about the maker?

I really don't know much. I 'discovered' him in this thread, and went and looked at the other knives he's posted too. I was impressed, especially at the priced he offers them for, and decided to contact him. He couldn't have been any nicer, so I decided to have him make me one much like the one in that thread. He offered me a few nice handle choices, I decided to go a different route from the normal wild grain I pick, and love the result. The way he split the wood up just adds to the artistry. The knife it traveling from Ireland, so I'm still anticipating it. Can't wait to try it out, and I have a feeling this maker won't be 'undiscovered' for long. If I like the knife I'm going to have him make me a couple more before his prices go up. ;)

And since I do have an Inbound...............

Wait for it.................. :p
