So, Insingo means "razor" in Zulu, right? So the question is: is the the Insingo a good slicer?

Asked and answered!!! Sorry for the terrible quality but you get the picture. I was having fun with my large Insingo, and miraculously, no fingers were harmed in the filming of this video. :D

End result: "hamster bedding".. haha.

Well Nick, I did use mine for shaving my beard. It does hurt a little compared to a straight shaver but it still got the work done. In case you are wondering, no I wasn't crazy enough to use my Insingo for shaving all the time. I forgot to shave and my girlfriend wasn't pleased so I went to the gents and whipped out my small Insingo, and after that she was smiling again.

Yowza you are braver than me Andy!! I have a very coarse beard, I'd slice off my chin trying to do that. Hahaha

I'm just messing with ya. Haha. Don't get the wrong idea!

Those CF scales are awesome, would love one of those!

Lol! I know that of course. Hey really Nick, get the one with the CF scale. I love the feel of it in my hands. Can't help playing with it all the time.

Alright, my Insingo arrived so I can now officially join the club! Here she is:

Oh, and a question to all of you with the beautiful blue anodized thumbstuds in your photos: Do you have some magic trick to keep them blue? Mine seem to be losing its color after only a few *days* of use (OK, use and a lot of unrelated opening/closing). I'm just curious...

Doesn't it look beautiful? Congrats on your new Insingo!

There's nothing you can do about the blue unless you drip clear epoxy on it. Problem is most epoxy will turn yellow after some time.

Thanks, and yes, just lovely!

OK, well I guess mine is normal then. No problem, there's something rather homey about the worn-in look, even if it is only after a couple days ;)

Well? Mine was worn on the tip after a few times of opening the blade on the first day I received it. I have been carrying and using it daily for about 3 to 4 months and it has worn down more but seems to have maintained its look after that and doesn't seem to wear any further.

Here is my "magic trick" for the blue...

Purchased a well used one with double silver lugs...

The blue is striking when it's brand new, especially against freshly blasted titanium. It's just too bad it doesn't last too long. So then you grow accustomed to the worn look. The blue fades, the scales fade, and it becomes a little more "vintage" for lack of a better word.
