The Deer Hunter - Buck 118 Personal (permanent thread - keep adding)

I just received my first 118. What a handy knife. I am so impressed by its feel in hand I had to go look online for another. I found a D2 with black handles and it is now on its way to me. :)

Nice one, I came close on that one, had it been a 105 I probably would've gotten it.
 
I only been hunting once a long time ago.Fishing isn’t something i like to do as eating fish is very low on my list of foods i like(wife likes fish so i do eat it just not my favorite). Only animal i have skinned is a squirrel I accidentally killed with a bb gun when i meant to pop it in the butt on a low pump to shew it off my bird feeders and he turned and got him in the eye.
But collecting such awesome knives is a pure pleasure and heaven forbid i should have to hunt and fish out of necessity if things break loose. I think i can feed myself and family in a pinch but we gonna lose some weight for sure! :(:D
 
Like the 117 club and the 105 pathfinder club
I thought there was a 118 club. When did they discontinue the 118? Thought i was going to buy one but i guess i missed it? So many great fixed blades i get all muddled up?
Please help me de-muddle?

The 118 Personal has come and gone a few times (like the 120 and 121 did a time or two). There should be plenty new and used on the bay, the river, and at on-line dealers. For some reason the 118 never seems to make it into modern brick & mortar Buck Dealer stores though. OH

I looked all over online and didn’t find any new 118’s in either of the the regular variety.
If someone finds one send me a message, I’d like to get one.
 
I use the bay to find knives I’m interested in. I don’t blindly order though. I like to have an idea of value and what I’m looking for beforehand.
21 results with a wide variety of price points currently.
 
Ive ended up with quite a few duds buying on ebay. I do have a couple on my watch list now.

maybe I'll have to try a 102. I wonder how much smaller the handle is between it and the 118.

Here is a quick pic of the 118 I received last night. It is in D2. I'll put this one to use, hopefully soon. Turkey season is upon us. Now if I can just get one to cooperate and come close enough to me.

I went ahead and ordered a 102, just so I could see how it feels in my hand. If I dont like it my daughter always seems to be willing to take them off my hands. :)
