The Diamond Jack is Back!!

I disagree, look at the Quality and how long that knife will last- drop of oil in the Joints, sensible sharpening you have an amazing knife that lasts 4 to 5 lifetimes -a top Quality knife that is so close to custom for a fraction of the cost.

The Jig Work Charlie - will there be different variations- or different coloured Bone available?

I'm looking forward to see how the rogers jigging turns out. I like both of the color choices too. I think both the red and walnut should look good with this type of jigging. Seems like there's several different takes on "rogers" jigging, plus you never know what GEC's interpretation will be....

I'm really happy about Handle choices . The Rogers jigging was the first to come to mind when I heard about this run .

Fifteen posts removed.

Talk about the knives, not the selling process.

Very food news, being buried in work I have just noticed Charlie's announcement. Looking forward to see them and maybe succeed in getting one.
Great weekend my friends

Mike

I am really looking forward to seeing this new run. Here's a couple from the previous run, shown with a couple of Schrades.

Beaver- nice shot of some nice knives!!

Philllll- that's a great shot of a real nice knife mate.

This will be my first Diamond Jack and I couldn't be more excited. A BIG thank you to the legendary Charlie C for setting up this SFO. Does anyone know (Charlie) if it will have a long pull? Charlie, PM me if you want to email me your photos to post them here.

Would a Long Pull be very hard to do with a Swedge ( which the 48's gotta have) and The Sabre Grind?

Very excited about these Diamond Jacks. Managed to reserve both (received the "OK" emails) but this is my first time out of the gate scoring any reservation for Charlie's SFOs. This is such a wonderfully useful slim pattern and I'm looking forward to seeing that jigging.

I was excited with the regular 48 run, did some research and found pictures of the original Diamond Jack and thought to myself I am so late to this game, then the DJ SFO announcement. I really like the Diamond shield and Sabre grind. My first successful CC reserve as well, can't wait.

The #48 pattern Diamond Jack is on order, and being processed!!

They will be single-blades, and have that same nice saber grind that the last issue had, with a new jigging pattern on the bone.

Same nice quality, as always.:)

You know how I like to post pictures; I will add pictures when I get Photobucket sorted out!! (groan - anyone else having trouble with them??)

Anyway - stay tuned for coming news!!

Hey Charlie, Photobucket is finally working again. Were you going to post some pictures? Maybe some samples of what you envision for the jigging? Thank you for bringing the diamond jack back.

On a side note, I'm holding out hope for some Washington Jacks this year :)

That actually looks pretty good. Thanks for that reference to compare against a nick.

Great reference guys and good discussion.
That knife of Dr. Mabuses has a lot shorter " Turkish Clip" therefore allowing the long pull to go alongside the Spine.

The 48's tend to have almost 3/4 Turkish Clip leaving only a short Spine.
This is only my opinion but the 48's really suit the nail nick in the Swedge- some of the old time Cutlers did this and I think it's great.

I wasn't able to get into the pre-order :( but fingers crossed I'll be able to find one. Will be my first CC SFO! I hadn't heard of Rogers jigging before this and am glad to learn more about that.

Charlie asked that I post this for your visual pleasure and entertainment:
