The Diamond Jack is Back!!

That bloodwood looks great! Wish I new what bone the Northfields are going to be. The amber looks like a winner!
The acrylics for the Tidioutes looks like (or very similar to) the Draft Beer Acrylic they used on the Beer Scouts. Looks good too, but acrylic has to really "wow" me for me to buy one.

I agree that the Amber jig and bloodwood look great so far. I agree as well with anticipation for the NF bone choice. Hoping for a black jig bone with some variation (black cherry?)

I can't wait to see what Charlie's knives look like. I'm sure they'll be great as always.

Regarding the Diamond Jacks, I wonder if the blades will be similar to the upcoming 38 Specials. That's what I'm envisioning when I hear long tapered swedge, but I could very well be wrong.

Either way, while the original saber grind would be very hard to beat, I'm sure these will be just as perfect, but in a different way.

Love those 48 in-production pics GECs got up now! Just a wee bit longer for the DJs! Can't wait to see that jigging and that diamond shield.

It'll be a lot easier to slice yer taters with.*

As just one example.

[A saber grind has its merits, including a certain presence, but for actual use I prefer full flat/regular grinds.]

*who accidentally wedged the saber grind of an original Diamond Jack while slicing an actual potato, an up-close and personal lessons about "blade geometry" resulting.

I was looking for pix of the the Rogers jigging too. Thought it was there for a second but guess still got to wait!

GEC hasn't got the DJs listed in the production schedule, but they have assured me, that they will be made last. Something about the special grind on the blade. Still no pictures, but I am bugging them!!

Thanks for the update, Charlie! So looking forward to this SFO.

I'm confused , is the blade sabre or full flat grind?

I was confused also. I asked Bill to change some blade detail to differentiate this knife from the first one. He surprised me when he revealed a different blade, with a flat grind!
I am still working on Photobucket, and hope to post a pic soon, John!

OK, this will give you an idea of the new blade grind. Bill tells me it is very like the one on this future knife!

Hey!!! I posted a Pic!!!

Possum skinner now there is a good name for a knife!

I would buy this on name alone, but it also looks great.

The blade grind looks real good. Really makes that long narrow clip.
And the Possum Skinner #82, just became a must have!

Just looked it up...and the 82 was the Dixie Stock Knife frame. Terrific!!!

Humina, humina, humina. Love that blade grind and it will really set the new DJ apart from the first run. And I agree with swaybacksteve, a #82 Possum Skinner is a must have when they eventually come up.

I just now saw those illustrations for the 82 Possum Skinner. Speaking for myself that will be a must have. I especially hope it's a single spring design. But either way it is a sure winner!!!
