I’ve never had one. Been waiting a while and I’m glad they released them. Did you see they also restocked the super commanders?

I didn't. I've owned one and it's great just don't feel like I need another though.

All the Emerson’s can be drilled and tapped for left hand carry (extra $25). The liner lock is on the wrong side but at least the grind is built for a lefty

It's not the same for a lefty or at least me with a right handed liner lock ~ Righty liner locks can be tricky for a Lefty

What do you think of the com seven? I like the idea of it, trying to decide whether to wait for a com seven or get a commander or maybe a mini com?

I think its pretty cool. Doubt I'll get one though. The super 7 is more my speed

The com seven is in magnacut. The first Emerson has made in that steel. It will be hard to get but I think it’s worth a shot. The first of anything a known maker designs will be up there in value (dollar wise).

I'm not confident in their ht on magnacut. I haven't seen any numbers, but if history and current trends are a guide, it's likely soft.

It’d be interesting to see if someone could get theirs checked for hardness!

Ah I found the HRC. It’s 62-64 according to the website.

I wouldn't be concerned about Emerson's heat treat. Emerson's plain vanilla CM-154 works very well for most (non knife nerd) users; Magnacut would be a step up IMHO, but not as easy to sharpen without diamond hones.

Anyone else ever drink a pot of coffee at 1 am and half ass a re profiling? . Cuts like a scalpel but looks like sh_t. I’m happy with it though - you could literally shave with that A100 ( 19 degree and still zero on the other side ).
