The Endura Thread

A K390 Endura from the seconds has been riding in my pocket lately. Mostly out of a sense of morbid curiosity. I wanted to see how K390 holds up in a harsh environment. So far, I don't have any complaints. I managed to pit the blade early on, but that's on me. I didn't clean some lime juice off fast enough. Since then, I've mostly been able to keep the rust from popping up. I'll likely switch back to the Pacific Salt 2 soon, but it's nice to know K390 will hold up with minimal care.

I have a bunch - can't list em all unless i go down to the knife box. Great model. I probably carry an Endura more than any other Spydercos. They are nice, thin, light, sharp, great ergos. Whats not to like?

This last batch of ZDP-189 Endura's has Sal's makers mark on the blade, nice touch. The Pac Salt H1 is surprisingly light in the hand and the H1 PE comes pretty sharp from Japan. My last few Seki knives have been impressive.

Yes, and the Pac Salt 2 has the Endura 4 handle, which I was very skeptical of, but have come to slightly prefer. Both are great.

This is the knife I consider my first true "EDC" blade. Bought in 1994 when my life was falling apart and carried until 2013. Went back to the home planet for sharpening and a couple of fixes (stupid plastic pocket clip) but never let me down. It rode with me on a lot of adventures both in and out of uniform. She's a safe queen now, but she'll always be with me.

For me the Endura is pretty darn close to perfection for a daily carry. That blade shape lends itself to so many cutting chores and needs.
New Endura in 20CV. Hoping against hope to see one in Magnacut at some point.
