I've been waiting for a while for this blade. I was checking the forums Thursday of last week, when I noticed CRKS had posted something in the BK14 update sticky. I checked it, and it was just some photos of the ESKABAR. He had 'em in hand. I called and made arrangements for it to go out Friday morning. It arrived today. Tom and CRKS rock out loud, I highly recommend them for fixing your Becker needs. Here we go:
Out of the box- the usual. Nylon sheath, some cordage, catalog, and a BK14
First impressions- the new handle feels great. It's a little longer, and the angle really sits it well in my hand. It feels beefier than the Izula, but slimmer than the BK11.
Edge- rough, not razor sharp, but you can drag some hairs with it. Par for a factory edge
Finish- smooth, black, and flawless
Sheath- standard issue, but this one rattles real bad. My BK11 didn't do that. I will need a new sheath. Whatever will I do.

Point- pure splinter picker, close to what the Izula and ESEE 3 have

Cool Stuff- there is 2 logos on this awesome creation, ESEE and Becker/Kabar. Randall Adventure/ESEE on the right side, Becker/Kabar on the other. This is a knife that bears the name of 3 great manufacturers/designers and has alot to live up to. From what I have held and felt, it will. No doubts.
Personal note: I have been a fan of Kabars from the first time I held one. I was 9 yrs old (32yrs now). In my early 20's, I stumbled onto a badass looking knife called a BK7 one day at the SMKW. I been a Becker fan since that day, I bought 2 right there. Over the next 10yrs, I owned and used many Kabars and Beckers. I was torn as to which one to call my favorite, so they just shared. When Ethan and Kabar joined, things couldn't have been better, IMHO. I was overjoyed, as my wife will vouch for me. Since joining the forums, I learned about ESEE. Now I already knew about RAT/RTAK, but I had no idea what was coming for me soon. I now own 3 ESEE knives. They are truly great blades. Now, enter the ESKABAR. All three of my FAVORITE makers, all rolled up into one blade. I can't wait to beat it up. Thanks to all. Moose
