Um I'm going to vote Eskabar.. without the hype (for now) but to each his own.. don't get me wrong I still like my Izula's just think this is more of a usable blade.. the izzy II is an awesome marketing tool and will sell off the chain, but the reality is when you put full scales on any izula it makes the difference..

I should have bought a 'BK Necker' years ago and I would have known then that the blade was king..

i dont know about that one, the izzy 2 really is a totally different knife for me, because it really does have amazing handles( lot better than my regular izzy with handles)

10 minutes of trimming and yes

see this thread for details / etc on the handle sizing and scales and stuff...

Basicsily Toooj says '''You are correct. The Rowen Izula handles will not fit on the BK14 handle. The esteemed Mr. Becker wanted a bit more width on the handle struts and the opening is smaller than the Izula. When we were developing the BK14, the Izula Micarta handles were not out yet.

If one takes the Rowen Micarta handles and shaves down the edges with a file or exacto knife, they will fit. If there is a lot of teeth knashing and chest beating, we can change.'''

Here I go again, necromancing another thread....but I have to ask, why does your Eskabar have no stampings/logo?

Its a prototype that Kabar and Ethan Becker sent me. Alongside a BK2, BK9 and freebie t-shirt. Beats sitting at that Costa Rican beach living off the royalties and sipping rum with two sun tanned honeys under my arms. :D
