Thanks for the heads up. I made it thought that ordeal unscathed, but I gots trips planned to go back. I carried my ESKABAR under my tshirt most of the time. The only time I ever got bothered was when I was out whittlin' on the curb. LMAO.

How's Sarah likin' that ESKABAR? I assume you put a good edge on it. That one that it left with was wrecked:D

Sarah likes the ESKABAR and is quite proud of it. When we got home she did the cord wrap, and it now also sports a nice edge.

Just got mine and the sheath is a sloppy fit as well. Any way to tighten these up?
 
There are a few:

Put an insert in the sheath to take the rattle out

Heat it up and press it in to tighten

Wait until the new sheaths come out, and get one then

I wear mine IWB on my right and its not a problem. There are other methods in the Becker forum, is your search-fu strong? :D

Any idea(not that I'm in a hurry) when the newer sheaths are coming out? Just want an extra so I can lash the one I have to a pack. The newer one would be for waist carry.

could be months and months. the current sheath is more than serviceable for most people.

so if you need it now, make or buy something. it's not clear to me they'll be selling the sheaths as individual items (now or ever)

I'm sure if you called Kabar customer service and asked them to sell you one, they would. That's what I did with the new BK2 sheaths and that's what I plain to do when the new sheaths hit stock.
 
I fixed my rattle with some paracord. Cut a piece about 3" long, or a bit less. Place it in the sheath, under the edge. Play around with it's size, but I got most of the rattle to stop. The blade still fits just as snug, no worse.

It's a temporary and cheap fix. Time will tell if it will last.
 
Christmas came early. Got my ESKABAR in the post today. Loved it with and without cord wrap. Gonna use it some soon. Good job ESSE and Ethan:thumbup::D

i love this little knife had mine for about 24 hours ive been cuting ever thing with it some of the coating on the blade has come off already
but i didnt get it to look at i got it to use
 
Love the knife and knew that I had to have the scales too.
I didn't know that a wrap at the loop end would also make a
big difference for how this feels in my hand.
I did like the feel of the tail of the wrap in the grip but changed it
to the usual position. It's good too.

I planned on getting one when they came out and I finally got one a couple weeks ago..... procrastination at its finest..

but worth the wait.. :thumbup:
 
Come on...This thread is only a couple of months old! I already forgot about the pics so now i get to enjoy them all over again!
