The Everything Bacon Thread

Stole this from BCUSA. Periodic bacon:

I finally had the opportunity to cook up some of Broadbents finest! Hickory Peppered Bacon
It was outstanding! I may actually prefer it over Bentons. I found Bentons to be a bit too smokey and overly fatty.
I likes my bacon lean.
I still have two more packs of Broadbents in the fridge. One hickory and one maple I think. That Peppered Bacon was sure tasty. I need more of that for a BLT stat!

Finally bought some of Benton's bacon. Pretty good stuff. It did seem a little fatty, but it's bacon and some is more lean than others. You just have to pick through it and choose what you want. Bought some along with some ham about a week ago when I was passing by. Will be heading by there tomorrow. We'll see if I stop and shop.

I just got a shipment from Broadbents in KY. Hickory, Maplewood and Black Pepper.
This bacon is a lot leaner than the stuff I got from Bentons.
I'm looking forward to frying some up, but it's going to have to wait. I have a busy rest of the week.

You are gonna bacon slap me, but I pass the Broadbents branch store every other weekend or so. And the main store is not too far.

I have never had bacon like the double smoked that my grandfather-in-law would make up from his own raised pigs. That spoiled me.

Wrights is the best I've found recently. But don't get me wrong, any bacon is good bacon. Heck, I'd probably eat Beggin Strips if you put them on a sandwich.

And a Camillus BK7 to keep things on track.

Oh sure, now I've got to try Wrights. (if they ship!)
and that Beggin Strips comment has me thinkin

I didn't feel like cooking dinner last night and opted for eating total junk food. Broadbent's maplewood bacon ends and salmon roe on some peasant bread. The salmon roe on bread is something my Russian friend's grandma used to serve us for breakfast when blini's weren't around. Like what everyone notices, you can eat a lot more of the Broadbent's vs Benton's. I love Benton's but it's very over the top in terms of its salty smokiness and not something that I could eat on a weekly basis.
