Might be one of my favorites I've ever seen you post will. Been trying to get more vintage and antique knives on my radar lately, and this looks like it could be a perfectly preserved example of what they were doing in the 1800s. Love it.

I've seen a few ovals. Still a very simple styling.I don't remember ever seeing anything but a bar shield on older Sheffield knives?
Do you reckon fancy shields were an American thing ?
