Several months back my daughter had a phase where she would get up and sleep walk even making her way down stairs one time and was about to pour milk on the floor as if she was holding a cup but had no cup in her hand. I asked her what she was doing and then went to pick her up to take her back to bed and she came to and was scared, she didnt know how she got out of bed. This lasted a week or so, maybe 5 or 6 episodes that one being the biggest episode the other times she just walked out her room and would stand staring at the wall, it would freak me out but after that week or so it hasnt happened another time. We asked the kids doctor and he said its not too unusual for kids to go through a phase of this at one point or another and we shouldnt worry unless it keeps coming back and happening. But we did add locks on the main doors too high for her to reach so she couldnt accidentally get outside.

Maybe its just a phase, id keep your eyes open, maybe add a bell on his door handle so you hear it if he comes out again at night.

It's not the first time, when he was younger,(4,5, he's 8 now) he used to stare at his wall at night and speak in a weird language, I used to try to sneak up on him to see who he was talking to but as soon as i would turn the corner he would either be laying in bed or going back to bed... after we moved everything was ok up until the last few weeks... my daughter says her analog radio moves from radio station to radio station and she sees a shadow that moves around. she says there's a ghost in our house, I've see stuff move from the corners of my eyes, even seen something moving thru the reflection of my glasses behind me... my wife says she see's stuff like that too. But walking in reverse like a movie eing rewinded has got to be the strangest thing I have ever seen... after running back to his room he stood infront of his door until i asked him if he was ok... he smiled then went to his bed and laid there like nothing happened

that would freak me out.. My wife used to sleepwalk a lot when we first got together. One night when we were living with another girl she got up in the middle of the night and did a couple loads of laundry and cleaned our room mates bathroom... she had no recollection of it in the morning and denied it at first. Crazy what people will do while sleeping. I woke up once with a cut on my arm and my case knife in my hand.. scared the crap out of me at the time.

My daughter who is now 14, used to on occasion, come into our bedroom late at night and just stand there until we (or one of us) would wake up. It would always freak us out. It was really weird. Anyway, fast forward a few years later and we were watching the movie Paranormal Activity. And the scene where the wife just stood in the room for like an hour watching her husband sleep came on? I saw that an immediately joked with my daughter that she did this on occasion. Well, she denied it, having no recollection she ever did such a thing. Freaky.

Thats crazy JD, I never believed in ghost and the like but if i seen all that id hang some garlic cloves in the door ways just in case LOL. I read Greeks use to do it to keep evil spirits away. Then id yell "this is SPARTA"... not sure why, Must be the Greek in me, and it seems to work in the movies, but if that didnt work id leave :D

Or maybe id just leave!!!

Check these tactical stockings out :D I wonder if they are set up for tek lok :D

Man, I would love one of those. I'm pretty sure my family would try put me in the loony bin, though. Every Christmas, my sister freaks out whenever I open a knife to cut a ribbon or tape or get a toy loose from all the packaging....even when I'm across the room! This would put her over the edge for sure.

I sent a PM but I think my internet took a crap, so not sure if you got it. Try a site called House Healing, the owner operator is a friend, and he specializes in stuff in people houses that doesnt belong there.

http://www.househealing.com/

May seem hokey, but hes helped a lot of people.

Yea i might get the OD one. just need to look at more sources. Found a few places out of stock but i did find them, just over 8 bucks on shipping for a 15 dollar stocking is a bit much when it wont weigh much at all. but im really considering it, they look awesome.

Knifeworks has them. I added one to a order of Becker kitchen knives that I got for my parents.

I grew up in a about 100-150 year old farm house out in the middle of nowhere. We would have weird things happen all the time in the house. I could probably talk all day just about some of the things we used to have happen in there. I'll give you one that is about sleepwalking.

I was probably around 10 years old living downstairs next to my parents bedroom. My sisters lived upstairs and on occasion one of my sisters would sleep walk down the stairs and around the house saying all sorts of nonsensical type things. One night I woke up and she was standing in my doorway. When I looked at her I realized she was asleep so I asked her what she was doing. She told me that there was someone was sleeping on the couch and asked me who it was. I dismissed her and just told her to go back to bed. So she walked out of my doorway and back up the stairs. I sat in my bed for awhile just thinking about it and the more I thought the more freaked out I was. So I decided to go look. As I walked into the living room I saw a man laying on the couch covered up under one of our quilts. I walked up to him trying to see who it was and what I could make out in the dark was he was a very big, barrel chested, and hairy man. He had his faced turned away from me, but I noticed the burliness in his arms. My dad was built the same way so I thought it was him, so I went to my parents bedroom and there they both laid snoring away. Then I walked upstairs to check on my sisters and ask the other one if she knew who it was. My oldest sister just dismissed me and the one who had slept walked was dead asleep. I rationalized that it was probably some friend of the family or something so I went back to sleep. The next morning while we were all around the breakfast table I asked my parents and everyone again who was on the couch. They all looked at me funny and my oldest sister stated that she thought I was just joking. None of them knew who I was talking about. When I walked into the living room after breakfast I saw that same quilt folded up on the coach all nice and neat.

Now I could rationalize this and try to explain it but still to this day no one knows who was sleeping on the couch that night.

I have tons more stories about growing up in that old house. Most recently I was telling some of the stories to a family friend while we were at my parents house and they acted like I was just being silly, out of nowhere my car horn honked like someone had pressed the lock button on the key fob. Freaked out I found one set of keys in my wife's purse out of everyones reach, and my other set was found in the kitchen. Where no one else was at.

I got a story about those boards that you sit around and ask questions to.. I don't like to think about it and/or repeat it, but I am a firm believer in there are some things you are just not meant to F with..
