And that, my friends, is why I love East Tennessee. It gets a little muggy in the summer but we don't have those insane weather fluctuations, or the brutal winters.
You think 8 below and a little frost is brutal? It's not pleasant but not hardly brutal. Throw a good wind in there and maybe a foot or more of snow and we're starting to get into brutal territory. I remember one winter in Oregon where it snowed a foot or a little more and then dropped down to 20 below. You know it's brutal when you have to scrape ice off the inside of your windshield. Man I wish we had more winters like that. Maybe not 20 below cold but I could go for 12-18" of snow.
