I really hate Wal-Mart! I stopped to get some pajamas, some CDs, and something to eat. It's always such a bad experience to go there. I got hit by 2 carts, once was while I was standing in line to pay behind the lady who had to use 3 different cards (2 of which were EBT cards) then went and got into her 2013 Cadillac Escalade.

Haha. She couldn't affored food becuase she spent all her money on a Escalade.

Am I the only unlucky SOB who gets a major lag here? I have no problem on the other forums I frequent, but always get a major lag here. Sometimes I can't even get the forum to load, it times out.
No, I get some problems with posting, lag and page loads. Not all the time, but especially posting, I get popped into the "go advanced" when I hit alt+s, some other weird shtuff, too.
No, I take that back....the universe is out to get you.

Any one else getting rain? It has been raining for two days here. My sisters don't have school today because of the rain, which means I don't ether!

My oldest sister is going to be seventeen tomorrow :(. I chopped a 7'' black walnut down yesterday with my bk9 in 5 minutes 48 seconds.

I have been making some Awesome feather sticks lately, I'm talking small football size, I'll post pics soon.

That's about the extent of my week ( like you guys care :p) Only 19 days till Christmas!!

I usually don't have problems. However, I really really hate this whole "auto-logout" that BF seems to have. I mean the inconvience is really disturbing.

Holy fack, -28C this morning, -41C with the wind chill. That's -18/-42F!! I don't mind cold, but this is redonkulous. Walked my little girl to her school door and it felt like my lungs frozen solid. My "get off you butt 50 mile challenge" is on hold for the next few days. I'll be hiding in my truck today, hoping there's no rooftop calls...fack!!

Go to Canada, they said. It'll be great, they said.

So, not many of you know what I do for my day job but do know that I hate it. I and one other person run and are responsible for 2 separate metrology labs for a very well known engine manufacturer. My coworker couldnt make it in today because of the bad wheather, So, the powers that be expect me to run back and forth (labs are on opposite sides of the plant mind you) and operate both labs. When I kindly told them that that was NOT going to be happening I gave them the choice of which one they wanted me to run. So, They said they wanted my co-workers lab to be running since it was a little more behind. O.K. fine. The problem is. all of that equipment operates differently on different software AND I dont have the correct drives on my laptop to produce the reports they want. No need explaining this to the higher powers that have no clue how to do my job, so, I just shut up and try to figure it out............So, once the bossman, (who also has no clue how to do my job) finds out I cant produce the proper reports he come out for a little of the old "face to face" where I politely tell him after his smarta$$ mouth spouts off that the effort he will be getting from me today will be halfassed at best, he responds, "Well, I guess a halfassed effort is better than no effort" to which I respond "obviously you are underestimating the level of commitment that I am willing to devote to halfassery!" LOL, you can imagine the look on his face. He took a couple seconds and then told me that I had a attitude problem! :D Yeah! no sh!t a$$hole! be sure to pencil that in on my next evaluatiuon! :jerkit: Man I hate this place! :thumbdn: but I love being a spur in these fools saddle!

The good news is you've given us a new WotD: metrology. Had to look that one up.

Off to the quote thread with you!

I used to have a real job, too. I walked away when I finally realized that staying there would result in me strangling some bean-counting nitwit to death and spending the rest of my days fighting for my life in prison.

Working for oneself has a lot of downsides... the pay's not great even when it's consistent (which isn't often), the hours are pretty much 24-7-365, and the quantity of stressors is at least equal to working for The Man.

But I hardly ever feel compelled to just stomp the living snot out of someone.

More often than not Wal-mart itself makes my shopping experience suck rather than the other people. They never have enough check stands open and nobody knows anything about the products in their department. One time I was in a wal-mart at about 5:00am, nobody else in the store. They had zero stands open and forced me to use self check out despite three employees standing there not doing anything. (I know, first world problems) I dang near just dropped the stuff on the floor and walked out. Another time I was in line in the express lane behind some folks with a cart full of stuff, but it was the only lane open so not their fault. The clerk pointed this out to them but they pointed out to the clerk that there was only one stand open out of 25 or so. Then after they paid and left the clerk tried to apologize to me because of them. I told her that I don't blame them, I blame the person that writes the schedule and only had one stand open. The couple wasn't being inconsiderate, they were forced to use that lane because the store failed to have more than one register open.

I'm also mad that they got rid of hand baskets at my local wal-mart. Not sure if they all did that or just the one near me.

The problem is, as bad as wal-mart is, the other stores are usually worse. At least when it comes to the check stands.

No hand baskets at yours either?.... Thought it was just mine... Pissed me right off....

I walked in.... Looked around and WTF?..

Yeah Id say you pretty much nailed it Terrio, So, how do you think I feel?.........I work for myself AND the man! So, I get the sh!tsplatter from all directions! :dread: So at any givin time Im pretty much stressed to the max and constantly have the urge to push some dillholes teeth through the back of there head. PLUS, I gotta put up with Murph being......well......Murph!

Fortunately for society though..........Im a big harmless teddy bear!

Same problem here, but I discovered they're all at the end of the unmanned register lanes, because there aren't enough employees and none of them have the initiative to gather them up and place them back near the entrance. Now I go in and cruise the end of the lanes on my trek to the other side of the store.

Me too :)

I here ya, brother, I really do. Pretty much at least once a day I fantasize about just living way back in the woods with nobody bothering me.

The good news is you've given us a new WotD: metrology. Had to look that one up.

I had to look it up too.

TMHunt - Sounds like you, like many, have one of those pointy-haired bosses as featured in "Dilbert". Not a week goes by without my wife contemplating doing harm to her boss, and she works in the claims office for a large local health care operation/near-monopoly.

In other news, the weather is pretty snarky here in Texas this week. Temp in the 80's a couple days ago, below freezing now. Here in central Texas we tend to have more ice storms than we do snow storms. And people tend to not understand the simple concept of not braking or steering suddenly when on an icy highway overpass...
