I'm pretty sure I just sold my old pickup! A guy a few hours from here that knows my girlfriends brother called me about it the other day. I've talked to him a handful of times since then and have emailed him some pictures. I was just on the phone with him for 45 mins and he said he would take it and will send me a certified check on Tuesday beings its going to be a few weeks before he can come pick it up.

Sell?! Why would you say such blasphemy?! Oh, I guess I do too, or rather, I trade... It's like getting something for nothing-ish.
 
Quick question:

My father asked me if I could get his hunting knife sharpened for him. I took it home to put on the Sharp Maker for a quick edge and found the bevels to be VERY obtuse, rendering the Sharp Maker pretty useless--the stones basically just touch the shoulder of the bevel rather than the actual cutting edge. Is there an easy way to knock down those shoulders and get it to the point where i can use it on the sharpmaker?

All i have is a sharpmaker with white and gray stones and a Norton combo. Any suggestions on how to achieve an effective re-profile with as little headache as possible?

I just sat on a damn stick pin.. like I friggin Looney tune,

I thought it was a knife at first, ... my 1st thought was "Oh my god, I have a SAK in my butt" , till nervously reaching around and removing a high school prom buttonier from my ass....

In my experience, SAKs aren't THAT sharp/pointy. They usually seem to be a drop/wharncliffe blade.
