Has anyone else wondered how many bubbles are produced while an Alka-Seltzer tablet is fizzing?

ETA: I mean that dang thing has been fizzing for like 8 minutes already and still the bubbles are rising!!!!

No, I just drink it while its fizzy.

That stuff is liquid life support, I keep some in wallet at all times

Hasn't someone backed out of a 115% yet?! Jeez! How long does a guy have to wait for a green diamondwood and black micarta 115% hunter in A2 from Rock N Roll Knife and Tool?!

no, but keep talking it up and I'm sure someone will eventually. :D

a 115% hunter (v2) would have similar blade dimensions to your 100% mountain knife, but with a bigger handle and a slightly higher tip.

I've only made one 115% hunter (v1), and it has curly maple and super-high and super-thin flat grind on 1/8" O1. It's a giant scalpel, but it's never been used for anything except paper, 1/2" hemp rope, and hangnails.

Happy Birthday warrior.

Condolences to your son, keep him close to avoid that very real holiday depression this season

I had a pretty good afternoon. I braved the remnants of the arctic death that passed through here and went down and drank some excellent beer with Tim Hunt, picked up my beautiful Magua, fondled all the blades he was working on trying to ship out and to top it all off.... Murph wasn't there!

Working on uploading some pictures now.

Glad to hear you made it home safely Jerry. Always a plaeasure to have you! Glad you liked your knife and also glad Murph missed out! More beer for us! ;)

Sucks to be you!

Thanks man. I am. Texting him now, making him laugh. He just got home from my house, said she took all of her stuff, that it was officiial. I won't go into details, but he's gonna be so much better off here in a few weeks, when he gets over it. He's a very disciplined guy. He's gonna be a professional body builder.

What about a 115% mountain man... Isn't that what Moose got? That goy! Never comes around anymore, like life gets in the way or something!

I've seen those on the big river website; I may have to pick up a set. Everyone seems to either like them for feel so-so about them. They could be a nice investment, I really like the SM for maintaining a good edge but it's not a re-profiling machine by any stretch--perhaps the diamond rods will be though.

I couldn't imagine owning my Sharpmaker without the diamond stones.
They're a worth while investment for sure.

Took my new lever action .22 to the range today--had a blast

I was browsing thru some L/A .22's the other day because I've never fired one and they look like a ton of fun... great googly moogly, people want an arm and a leg for those things! I must have been looking in all the wrong places 'cuz for the (new) prices I was seeing I could get a decent used L/A .30-30 and a new semi-auto .22. What gives?

People crack me up.

Your first mistake was going to a mall any time between Jan 1st and Dec 31st. :D

Any suggestions on how to achieve an effective re-profile with as little headache as possible?

Take two Aleve before you even start. There's no way around it, you're just gonna hafta grind away the parts you don't want.

I love the 100% mountain man! I so want one of those..... And a Yuma....And a Growl....

And the winning lottery numbers or a longer couch.

well stop looking at the Browning and the Golden Boy :D
They're awesome. they don't come up used often because they're awesome.
I've picked up several over the years, and two of the best aren't made anymore.

yep. I like a bench stone for that because you can give it more pressure than vertical sticks.

I was gonna be a professional body builder, but the equipment is just too damn heavy.

I'm working on my second million. The first was too hard.

Haha, I hear that.

When he gets pretty good at it give me a shout. Might have him build me one.
Haha. That's a goodin'.

He started less than three years ago. He weighed 130lbs when he started, and after eating 7 meals a day, and rarely missing a workout, he's up to 205. He figures it will take him another 5 years to get where he wants to be. Seems strange to me. I used to see a skinny kid in the car with me, now we're shoulder to shoulder.
