Looks like Competition for sure...and a very handsome one at that!

I especially like the "grain" of the machining showing through on the plunge near the choil, it looks outstanding!

The machining waves on the primary grind look very uniform. I even like the cross-hatching on flats. This is what I sign up for when I order "Competition Finish."

Fuller machining marks look nice and rugged. Like a well loved hand tool.

But, like you, I do see it looking a little stonewash-y especially on the flats near the logo. I think that's a win.

I'll be very happy if my Comp / black g10 shows up looking like yours!!!

I like the look of the Canvas Mic, too. I have the same handles on my painted Forefather-- so I'm hyped about that too!

Thanks for taking the time to post up pics

I have a Battle Shark and a Pork Chop with the same handle. On any given day it's my favorite Busse ergos next to the HG55's grip.

Nuclear Meltdown treatment alone is worth the price of admission because that's A LOT of perimeter to crown and roll over!!!

Talon holes look nicely chamfered, to boot!

Everything I'm seeing is making me feel like the GFD on this monster was a rare deal that I am thankful I was in the right place at the right time to take advantage of!!!

Considering everything that just my untrained eye can see, it musta been one hell of a task to pull this model off and get it in our hands in the timeframe and at the GFD price point, thanks Jerry, Garth, Becky, et. al. at BUSSE COMBAT COMPANY!

Cheers to all you and all us fortunate FFB owners! 🥃

Me too, that is a sweet looking blade.

I do not know but it looks Comp Finish that may have been slightly stone washed to get the sharp edges off from machining ?

Some weird glint off the swedge. Looks like QC issue.

This is my first busse that hasn’t felt like a hunk of metal, so I am pleased with how it feels in hand. The coffin handle is cool and works.
I dislike the swedge. I think it detracts from the aesthetic lines this knife could and had in the rendering.
My 2 cents

Thanks for the side by side.

They should have done a straight v shaped swedge not the concave type like the Hellrazor 2, It ruins the look. (In my opinion)

Also the fuller looks better in the drawing :-(

I think the real fuller looks better than the drawing. The swedge should have been like on the drawing (and also sharpened).

Is the plunge into the swedge a different depth in that area? -- like the endmill wasn't at the correct depth for that section?

Thanks for the pics!
Yeah somebody made a .3 offset instead of a .03 offset on that , it happens.. my work lost 130 grand on some parts they ran for a week . I’m sure they will take care of it for you
