The H.E.S.T. application thread

I ordered a Hest today. Last one on my vendor's shelf !:thumbup:

I also just read this whole thread after the fact. I see I made a wise choice. It will be my EDC partner wherever I go. I never liked carrying traditional multitools around ( Leatherman,etc.) ,but the Hest is a flat bar of wicked engineering design that's easy to carry.. I'm gonna solve a lot of problems with this unit.

The HEST is a great little survival knife. Especially when you're thirsty.

Sharpening with a pebble. Does it work?. Oh, yes, got it shaving sharp. Not quite as nicely as with a ceramic crock stick, but still.

Ain't there a saying - if it works, don't fix it? So if that pebble works, it's a good thing to have handy
