The "Help, I have a crappy knife" Contest.

Not entering contest just posting. I own it but don’t use it.
I used to have this exact same little colt python switchblade.
I think I still have the body of it laying around somewhere, but the blade came out long ago.

It was the coolest little thing my dad gave me when I was a kid, it was garbage but just so cool to me.

You know I've seen them before and I always wondered why the heck there isn't a cheap OTF version where you pull the trigger and the blade shoots out the front and when you cock the hammer the blade retracts. That'd be such a neat novelty :D

I always wished mine did that, but at least the hammer is the lockback release.

I believe M-Tech may have had an assisted opening otf pistol knife with a holster, I know they still do a standard assisrea opener.

I think he needs to start carrying this knife so I can vote for it, mine was so poorly made but It did take an edge and would open boxes.

There are lots of folks who like knives, but don't have the budget or experience to go buy a good one. This is a great idea for a giveaway, a chance for someone to upgrade to a nicer knife.:thumbsup:

This is not an entry; I have since acquired lots of non-crappy knives, but years ago, I used to carry a little Fury linerlock. I liked it so much, I bought a spare. :D I'm sure they'd fall into the crappy knife category, but I have to admit I still think they're kinda neat.

I’m prepared to throw in an extra $10 for the winner Hackenslash Hackenslash . :)

My only worry is that people on a low budget will have too much self respect to post in this thread. Rest assured, if we are on BF then it is granted that we appreciate knives in general. For many, many years the only non kitchen knife I owned was a 110, which is not a crappy knife, but nowhere near as posh as what I own now. I just couldn’t afford anything else.

I don’t own any really pricy knives, à la CRK, Shiro et al. However, I do own many knives of very good quality, and I’d prefer to pay ten bucks towards this than put ten bucks into my “saving for a CRK fund”. Don’t be shy, people. :)

I really hope there is someone here who can't afford a better knife and comes forward in this thread.

I personally don't own anything over $50 but what i carry is of quality in my eyes and is just what my area of knife interest is, but I'm sure there's someone here who could only spend $20 and didn't did get the most quality for their money.
That's who deserves to win.

Such a POS. Centering is way off, rubs on the show side liner.

PVC glue in the copper standoff.

It's a wonder I manage to muddle through the workday with this thing. :D
Oh yeah, the texture on the G10 really collects dirt.

Damn...time I went and photographed my three "shed knives".. they probably get more use than any of my knives but they are utter rubbish !! One is something Chinese for the 80s....one is a beat to hell something and one is a copy of a CS Tanto from the 80s as well.... but I stab cut, scrape and pry with them every weekend !!

Gets my vote for best in the "Dirty in Pink" category ! :p

I thought this knife was cool once. About once a month I need to dispose of carboard boxes from shipping. It should be able to turn Amazon boxes to ribbons with the quality "S30V" steel, right? Ouch. Jimping can be painful in the wrong size/quantity.

I found this little guy in some pinestraw outside a building I was working on a few years ago. Its a frost Cutlery ...... huh, I forgot the model. POS maybe? Anyway I carried it for a week or so just for the hell of it.
I have much better knives so if this little blue gem wins I'll upgrade a buddy or find someone here that could use a new knife.

I know a lot of people consider this to be a crappy knife, with its 8CR13MOV blade and all. But i dig it. Most carried knife even though it hardly opens anymore.

Not an entry, since BHQ doesn't like anybody outside of the US. Just contributing.
