This will be my last post on this thread for 2013, Most importantly to bring it back up top and keep the pressure on, and second to BEG/PLEAD/GROVEL for a thicker option... I have a particular stump in the forest that I harvest fatwood from and although I can use my .25" B10, my DOGFATHER at .275 is WAAAAY better/comforting at prying the strips off the tall stump. That's the niche it will fill. THE ultimate indestructible mid length basic woods combat survival camp knife.

As to the weight concerns, my full height grind B10's at .25 are Super light as if they were infused with helium, so I think cutting 2 inches off the length and adding it to the thickness would allow it to balance very similar to the B10 while giving a fuller grip to the handle. I guarantee they'd feel a heck of a lot lighter than the SOD's from the yard.

So I have pleaded my case and with that, I'm off to celebrate and spread some holiday cheer.

Merry Christmas All and please remember those away from home this Christmas and New Years.

Stump

With that said, I had to modify my previous post.....now corrected in red above:thumbup:

PLEASE MR. BUSSE..... BRING IT!!!

Thanks for the info on your experience, Stump. Also for the pics (love that Battle Rat!).

I'd love to see this knife hit the site with the full lineup of options (thickness, choil type, finish, handle color). I would quite possibly have to sell everything I own to get a few. :)

Basic 8 LE with choil, .220", tan handle...............Please:)

Thanks in advance:thumbup:

C180's question got me thinkin'....

If Busse moved the Talon hole up just a smidge and flattened out the bump under the hole...there'd be no need for a choiled version, see....

Behold the "PERFECT" B8LE (It'd look even better in tan:thumbup:)!!!

HOG BAIT = Heavy Ordnance Grade Basic-8 (B8)

For me this is the whole thing in a nutshell. We're not talkin' pregnant seahorses or flying dodos or even zombies here. This is about the ultimate pursuit of perfection in a field blade.

THIS is Busse.
