BRING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While we are waiting on the Busse Combat Basic-8 LE, i would like to talk a little about a project of mine; got this new to me b7 lately, was told that it once used to belong to a well known gentleman on this forum. Stripped, used, buffed out and if you take a close lok at the choil, you would see that it has been sharpend more than once. What i would like to do is making it into a Basic-7 Fighter Version (see pic. on the right). Changing of profile on blade, adding a choil and maybe beat blasting and a convex edge.

What do you Hogs think?

Do It!!!

One thing...your image indicates removing a lot of steel along the edge, which will mean the primary grind will have to be re-done--otherwise, the edge will likely be much too thick. Rather than go through all that, if I were looking at making the tip more pointy I'd consider just grinding a flat clip on the blade, starting about mid-spine or even a little farther back toward the handle, with a straight downward angle to a new, lowered point. It's easy enough to play with the clip angle until you have something pleasing to your eye, then grind away. Just a thought.

Go for it! (Must post pics. :D)

Thank you Will, on your input. I do have in mind that the primary grind will have to be re-done. Anyhow, like your idear about the lowered point - will give it a second thought...
