 You can't drop a bomb like that and not tell us what the mods are! :D

Right,,,
b-11 assym.grind with tan blade, original handle./ b-10 and b-6 with tan dogfather res.-c./ eb-6 with satin finish, assym.grind (what else) and handle swop from old style to tan dogfather res.-c./ b-5 new coating.

Thats about it, as far as i remember.:D

thanks for the recognition Will... right back at ya, but I'm just Joe BusseBasicBuyer...you core guys deserve ALL THE CREDIT :thumbup::thumbup::D:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

And come St.Patrick's Day Joe BasicBuyer will evolve into Joe BasicUSER...there's a downed loblolly pine taunting me since the ice storm in my back lot

Those sound really interesting--we're gonna need pics, mister. :D

BTW, did you order your Basic 8's with asym edges?

Satisfying work with the right INFI.

You helped keep us going more than a few times--your support was much appreciated, my friend.

Was that an option!?!?!

Shoulda-Coulda-Woulda!!!:o

I would have on a flat grind but not convex. I think what makes asym edges work is the near-zero-drag factor on the flat side. Want to see how this puppy cuts before messing with the edge, and convex primary to zero convex edge on these sounds right to me. I think Jerry was really paying attention to geometry on this blade, and I want to experience his design parameters in full.

I hear ya Will! When I found out they were going to be full convex, I didn't even think about Asym at the time but Asym is a "Hot Temptress" no matter what the parent blade is. Maybe the HOGB8 will be full flat with an ASYM option (yes, I'm still maintaining hope it becomes available soon!!!):D

Oh and thank you for including me in the ranks of folks like our buddy Tom, but you guys are the Jedi Masters of the B8 thread! I'm just along for the ride like everyone else who has posted here in support.

I'd like to get my hands on a nice example of an asymmetric ergo blade. Maybe an ERGO NATURAL OUTLAW. That'd be cool. I'd prolly never put it down, as cool as the info I've found on the subject says it is.

So, have only two people received their B8's so far? Would love to see pics from more. Maybe tomorrow...
