Not familiar with the language around here, what's a "ding?" Is it the invoice? In which case I've been ding'd and paid! Can't wait for it

A "ding"is when the credit card gets charged for the balance due (after the initial $1 charge), typically a couple of weeks before the knife ships. It could also b when the balance is invoiced if it's paid by PayPal.
 
Thanks my friend, and I’ll gladly take delivery at the earliest possible date! But let me also take your nice compliment as an opportunity to give credit where credit is due:

I know to those who have joined BFC over the past couple of years, it may look like the HOG B8 was my brainchild, but that’s just not the case. I started the thread back in 2013 to drum up support for releasing the original B8 LE, which was introduced at Blade Show 2011. When Jerry finally released that knife in 2015, I was very happy with it. But Stumpy had been lobbying for a thick-blade version ever since I first posted the B8 thread—literally from page 1.

In summer of 2015, as fervor for the newly-released B8 LE began to ease, Stumpy asked if I’d give my blessing to his continuing the thread, using it as a foundation on which to build a new consensus for release of his thick-blade vision. Of course, he didn’t need my blessing or my permission, but I gladly turned the thread over to his able stewardship. He and Tom Kanik, along with many others, have been posting relentlessly ever since to keep the thread on page 1 of the Busse Forum. I took a break and wasn’t around much for the next year—really didn’t become active on the thread again until this time last year as we were approaching Blade Show 2017 and I noticed Stumpy’s post about trying to get to 8,000 posts by Blade. I thought that sounded like a great idea, and since delivery of the original O2W run of knives was winding down, I thought it might be great timing to help give a shove. Again, many others jumped in to lend a hand, and here we are!

I can’t even honestly take credit for the original B8 LE. It had already been introduced—just not released—at the time I started the thread. Obviously, it would have come along anyway at some point, and possibly on the same timetable as it occurred naturally without my harping. Who knows? But I DO know this:

Without Stump Buster and his band of merry men, there would be NO HOG B8!!!:eek::eek::eek:
