Ditto what 360 said! ... man those DS sure came out nice, I will fill a spot with one of these no doubt. I think that's about as good a choice possible for adding some resc to the lineup.

AAC673CC-5DAB-459B-BDC3-C4E2C15F9862.jpeg I can’t believe what a pig this knife is and at the same time so manageable and quick in hand. Just look at that blade thickness.:eek::eek::cool::cool::cool::D:D:D

Thanks for the use of your pic, Chris A—couldn’t resist!:D

One thing I noticed the other day tree trimming, I was in some tight situations for a good angle on a limb and a swing path. With that beefyness I had to come in on a steep angle to prevent a bounce off. I'm thinking I'll lay that edge angle back a bit, there's a lot of beef there. Best small splitting wedge with a handle you could ask for :D

Opened up this beauty today. Satin with long straight clip.

I like the light on that first pic the best. It shows off the satin finish but I cut off the tip of the handle.

I just might be the first person to draw blood with this beast! Stupidly had my finger too close to the opening of the cardboard sleeve when I pulled it out. It was just a flesh wound though! :D

Got mine today--Satin War Feather.
I dunno. I kinda think Jerry got "ricasso" confused with "cow bell."
'Cause I coulda done with a whole lot less.

Aesthetically, I would have liked to see another half inch of rind to take it down at least to the talon hole, and maybe an elf choil or no choil at all.

But maybe it'll grow on me. The satin looks really nice.

GrEIGHT posts and pics guys!!!

Congrat's on the scores and THANK YOU ALL for posting the pics and bloody finger stories! Ben, the light angle in that first pic is perfect!!!

Lovin' your avatar Will!!!

Oh, and... you beat me on the quoting of Chris-A's picture, I was gonna do the same thing. The comparison of the spines totally blew me away!!! I have almost all of my res-c blades out on the coffee table right now, so I can't wait for a little in-hand comparison.

I'm just about caught up on the projects I'm gonna do on this vacation stretch and I'm hoping to actually take the next two days easy before going back to work, sooooo...

MORE PICS TOMORROW!!! (I hope)

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yep, too much ricasso and demands an unnecessarily splay-finger reach to use the choil, but man it handles like a dream and it’s as close to indestructible as I’ve seen in a user-friendly format. I love this thing!:cool:

Got the penetrator point too and it sticks quick. Just that little bit opens things just enough to let that flat slab slide right in. First one with it.
