3. broke dudes who try to boost their fragile egos with stuff = the vast, vast majority of CRK customers. (he comes on here and flames anyone who criticizes CRK knives because he will always need to justify spending more on a knife than he did on his car... And also to justify why he's now walking and bumming rides everywhere because he doesn't have $400 in the bank to fix his car.)

That was a good point by the poster but unless the broke guy is living in you basement or you are buying his food, it's still none of your business who buys what knives. :p

They can probably sell that knife on the exchange with little or no loss.

I still don't know whether I'll end up with a CRK or not(I also like striders) because where I am, I cannot send in knives if there's an issue or an issue develops. However, I try not to judge people on what they buy.

I did know somebody from this forum who was living in his car but still continued to buy knives. We are here because we love knives.

Oh and there's also penis envy...


One more thing, you can buy what you want and not buy what you don't like. ;)

was completely fine and nobody's business?? Come on man, at that point you should have realized this person had an extremely serious addiction.
I would have felt obligated to step in and help this person with their addiction, NOT turn your head and say "its not my business".
 
In regards to the "younger vs. older" question, there is one valuable attribute inherent in the older generations that is severely lacking in the younger - wisdom, and it comes with age and experience.

That's odd, as he seems to have described none of the dosens of CRK owners I know. May be he doesn't actually know any and is just talking out the top of his head. You do seem to get quite easily led in to taking on other peoples words and opinions though so I can see why you jumped on it.....

Sorry if I offended any CRK owners, but I am entitled to an opinion, without being attacked. You dont have to agree with it, but we all should be
respectful and civil here.
 
In regards to "insulting CRK owners", why do any of you care what someone else thinks? Does it lessen your own experience or the pleasure you get from owning one? Why do you allow someone else to control your emotions?

He is being attacked. He did not single anyone out in his OP.

Civilty comes from putting ones opinions to another with out the use of underhanded or full on insults, or agreeing with those that do feel insults are the way forward. You can of course have an opinion but don't have an opinion based on the words of others having zero experience your self and expect to be taken seriously. Try using a CR knife your self for a while and then you have an opinion worth something. Untill then you are just regurgitating what you heard else where....We see this same tired old nonsense time and time again here.
